So Lucy is either obsessed with playing her own faeces like Allitt, or is a massive Munchausen like Allitt?

If it's the latter it's kind of already out there, with the girl who went to school with her saying Lucy would fake things for attention and pity. Also it was kind of inferred from her big needlestick faint, after the murder of Baby P, that caused Dr Soppy Bollocks to mollycoddle her and offer her his car.

Edit - other people are taking that clue very literally, that Lucy is a copycat killer?

Always been camp guilty, I think I just have a great intuition for these things.

I work with newborn babies and NNU babies who are about to go home. In all my experience of working in NNU I have never seen a baby collapse and need resuscitating, baby deaths on the unit are very rare. The babies on NNU are usually content as their needs are all being met. What happened at Chester was really strange, if it wasn't a deliberate attack then what's the medical explanation and if it wasn't Lucy then who else could have done it? The defence doesn't seem to have offered any alternative explanation. Then you have Lucy's post it note confession.

Thank you for the virtual hug love, I feel like you ‘get it’ too Just a check up/treatment plan but I get myself so nervous. It’s a 50 mile drive as I have to go to a specialist centre, then because it’s all centred there I have to hang around for tests/bloods/prescription which took ages. Wanted to get back to do school pick up myself with it being the last day so the 50 drive mile back was my best girl-racer as Fridays and London traffic are the worst combo. Got to school with 5 mins to spare. AND it was £9.10 for parking at the hospital
Anyway it’s just days/weeks like this that I wouldn’t mind tolerating another adult human in my life to stop me getting so grumpy and stressed

I have an amusing story about facemasks.
During the pandemic I had to take one of the dogs to the vet, I walked it down and inevitably he had a massive on the way. Anyway I bagged it up and just put it in my pocket as there was nowhere else to put it.

Arrived at the Vets and put my mask on, it had been in the pocket with the poo and honestly I could literally taste the shit. (Mixed with the lavender scent of the poo bag). I was trying to act normal with the vet but I just wanted to vomit.

Let's just say that was a lesson learnt

I can’t say for sure as no experience with jury service at all but I’d say highly unlikely it’s any kind of scheduled life event like holiday or wedding etc. based on my parent’s work in court. They would potentially be in contempt of court for going to anything that hadn’t been agreed and allowed. I think at this stage any allowances would have to be extreme circumstances. Family member as an expert witness has been threatened with contempt of court on the odd occasion (my graduation being one) and was famous for having been heard muttering that the judge could fuck himself #proud
There have even been times when they’ve offered to send a car at their expense to get them to court so I would have thought a childcare issue might be covered by the second day, so I think probably unlikely a significantly poorly child needing it’s parent would be a different scenario though so sincerely hope it’s not that.

A bereavement maybe but if we think about the last time that sadly happened, they only reported on why there was a break once they all came back to court.
If I remember correctly, the time there was a break for the juror with the medical emergency- we only knew about this at the time because of our secret squirrels at court, so it could still be illness related and we might never know or JG will give a little talk when they’re back Monday and say what reason it was.

I think covid or sickness bug is quite likely as it was two off at once. I do agree though that the frequency of Mondays and after big football matches was very suspicious at times though who knows. I can’t really imagine how it must feel to have been on this case for so long and how hard it’s all been, I would like to think it’s something really unavoidable and they’re all aware of the magnitude of everything
Here’s to Monday and a guilty verdict not long after.

I'm missing my girl today, my heart was physically aching when I woke up. So I've done lots of cleaning and organising, cut the grass in the rain and cuddled a duckling. My heart aches less.....but that might be the Pimms dulling the pain

Just marvellous go like 20 odd times, fully invested and now I’m not going to able to go… I’m soooo frustrated. I’m not saying whatever this is now isn’t genuine but… I’ve never known a group off so much, all the legal and police have been throughout they aren’t off all the time. And strangely always on Mondays or after bank holidays. I’d planned to drive this aft as there’s no trains. Like what is going on… and not only illness’s there’s been loads and loads of days off when courts just not been on because they are doing something

Potentially someone sitting on the jury could’ve been recently diagnosed with cancer, had a stroke, their child has become very unwell or a close family member has passed suddenly. The possibilities are endless as to why it’s halted. Awful to even think about. I hope it’s nothing sinister/life-changing for anyone involved.

My mum said I should keep going as I managed longer with wee Caledonian. Yes that's true but that was 8yrs ago. This time round I've had mastitis 4 times and 2nd time for thrush and I've just had enough. I want to sleep with no bra on, I want to be able to get up and not think right I can only do x y and z before I need to feed and mostly I want my body back

I honestly don’t think we have anything to worry about. It’s easy for us to just assume it’s a juror dicking about, but it could just be genuine reasons.

They have been sat in that court room for 9 months without being able to discuss it, I honestly think they have agreed verdicts on all the murders and are now just hashing out the attempted ones. For all we know they could be at a stale mate with one charge.

I don’t see how it can be a hung jury when there are 22 individual charges, maybe Boss Man Goods will have to accept a majority on the ones they can’t decide.

I do hope whatever has caused the delays doesn’t prejudice the trial in anyway. I cannot begin to imagine the torture the parents are going through during this.

I walked my 8 year old to school this morning for the last time in Y3. She was born early 2015 so all those babies would be the same age and couldn’t help but think of how much she’s grown and developed this last school year, her first year in KS2. She’s gone from little kid to mini adult it feels. And that’s just since September a month before this trial started.

8 years this has been going on for them, and will for the rest of their lives. I hope they’re all finding strength and comfort from somewhere especially during milestone weeks like these
