But if all else fails it’s pasta for the win for me always. I make a simple grated courgette, lemon, garlic, oil, chilli flakes and linguine/spaghetti a lot. Fresh and summery. If I’m feeling indulgent I’ll add cream of some description, alpro soya cream feels a bit less naughty but tasty.
Highly rate The Spice Tailor curry kits for a quick dinner with no real thought or effort but lots of flavour. I’m getting more confident making my own curries though but my Mum is so good at them I live in her shadow as far as curry is concerned! Make my own chapatti sometimes!
Had some really good health news for my mum today 🥲 what could have been the dreaded C has turned out to have no sign of malignancy. Such a relief. I was more than a little fiery this morning waiting for the news so sorry about that to anyone that noticed 🫣

I had my interview today and I think it went well? There’s 13 of us going for 3 positions though so it’s going to be tight . I have my 10k tomorrow which I’m dreading but cancer research is such a great cause so that will motivate me on. I get that this case is complex and the evidence is largely circumstantial, but when weighing up whether or not you think she’s G or NG (not that any of our opinions on this matter) I really think it’s important to look at the sources you’re getting your information from. On one side we have the testimonies of highly qualified expert witnesses with decades worth of experience between them who say she’s G, and on the other we have the ramblings of a random, unverified facebook user who claims to work for the NHS and have insider knowledge that BM is illegally slipping the jurors extra information which hasn’t been included so far in the trial….

Personally, I don’t think it’s that difficult to figure out who is more credible here.

lol! No, not at all. Although I did ask myself the save questions!! But I happened to think maybe she was worth listening to. I haven’t changed my opinion, but I did wonder about the ‘bundles’ that apparently are going to prove Lucy’s innocence

I wavered and thought for s second, maybe this is BM’s master plan. Surely that wasn’t really the defence? So yes, I think maybe i thought perhaps he did have something up his sleeve!

The thing I really don’t get about the scapegoat theory is that the people who would have benefitted from her being a scapegoat were the ones actively pushing for more investigation. If I done something wrong at work and clients weren’t complaining (as appears to be the case here, the families weren’t asking q’s) you can be damn sure I wouldn’t be encouraging my boss to delve more deeply in the hope he’d blame someone else the whole thing falls apart when you remember no one was looking into this until staff within the NHS pushed for it. Why would they push for more scrutiny if they’d done something wrong? Not to mention the person scapegoated conveniently then has 250 handover notes, hundreds of Facebook searches including of families directly involved, confession notes and was the only staff member involved in every single incident. The most obvious theory is usually correct and in this case the facts just don’t add up to her being scapegoated(?), you have to completely twist what happened to fit the narrative

100% this. Also, having to go to court and give evidence is honestly horrible, I have done it and it was terrifying. The idea that these doctors all got together and decided that they were going to get her done for murder to cover up her mistakes, then lie during cross examinations under oath in front of a judge and jury is utterly ludicrous.

So…I don’t know how true this is. I have been talking to a lady through chat on fb, she’s a lovely lady, but we got chatting earlier in the trial. She’s very much on the innocent side, we’ve discussed and we both respect each other’s opinions. However, she says the jury have been handed ‘bundles’ her belief and many on the innocent side believe the reason why the defence didn’t really present many witnesses was because they didn’t need to - because there is more evidence in these ‘bundles’ one being that there is further evidence about the whole water and sewage incidents. She sent me a document, and in here it was about how water causes infections, it was actually quite bad in the hospital and it can cause similar symptoms to air embolus…I will admit I have not read the whole document. ( I’ve been away for a few days) and I’ve kind of liked the break from thinking about this trial.

Now, anybody who is in law know how true it is that the jury have ‘bundles’ with other evidence.

Also, I’ll admit, I’m partial to a conspiracy ( never trust governments, drug companies or anybody in authority really ) but at the same time I do like to exercise common sense, and don’t go down rabbit holes too much.

So once I have seen it all laid out in front of me, I just see it as so obvious she’s guilty, however the longer it goes on and the more I talk to others with differing opinions doubt does creep in…

She very much believes that the defence have been tactical over this…again anybody in law know if that is the kind of tactics they’d use? Present no witnesses because they didn’t need to, like they have something in the ‘magical’ bundles that somehow will get L L off…

nothing released in the BMJ or similar journals about this virus that apparently came for a year or so and left. Whoever has given you this info is severely misguided.

Not drunk, but my absence from the threads last Saturday was partly due to having a few too many at a garden party, tripping over and nosediving, forward pike with twist, straight into the pond. Head to toe in chickweed and slime.

We have to remember we’ve been here before. It feels worse this time because it’s mid-deliberations but when this has happened before eventually court resumes and it’s business as usual with no mention of it, like it never happened. And we all breathe a huge sigh of relief!

The scapegoat theory really is the biggest load of bollocks I’ve ever heard - even at peak NG slingo I wasn’t having it. The insulin shows you that. It’s the clearest evidence they have, and they waited like two years after her first arrest before they even thought about those incidents let alone linked it to her. How lucky for the Gang of Four. The women they’ve been trying to scapegoat for the unexplained deaths was also 1 of only 2 nurses at these dodgy insulin events that happen in the same time period.

I finished! It started pissing it down but I did the whole 10k. I am so bloody unfit so I’m actually shocked I managed it I can’t lie . I’ve raised £390 so far with an additional £80 for gift aid. I found it weird they made zero mention of her internet search habits whatsoever (excluding the Facebooking of course). I wonder if she searched and read a lot about Allitt but it was agreed it would not be used. For the pure reason loads of people will have searched Allitt online, myself included.

yeah @MmmB777 would be screwed if she was ever wrongly arrested for being a healthcare serial killer and they checked her internet history.

I've had a stinking fortnight and felt so low and flat this week. So this evening me and my little man went to a nice restaurant. We shared some calamari, he had a pizza and i had ravioli and we talked about all the things that he's proud of from this school year. Now we're snuggling as he's watching Harry Potter for the First time and, for tonight at least, the world feels like a much brighter place.

I had a dream last night and anyone who knows me IRL and even some on here know my dreams have always sent me messages. It was a Bible verse saying the tounge is the sharpest weapon on Earth. I can't remember the full verse but that bit stuck out to me. Can't help but think it's a good sign cause I mean look how many of us think/thought there was potential for her to have got off if she had never took the stand.
