I have my fingers crossed BM begins the defence closing today.
This trial has consumed me since the beginning.
It just needs to be over as quickly and lawfully as possible.
Dunno how LL is feeling but my nerves are shot to bits.
---
I don't drink anymore but my cure was always a large glass of Vimto then a big mac meal with a strawberry shake.
I never took painkillers on a hangover, your liver is already working overtime processing the alcohol, it really doesn't need paracetamol on top.
Nurofen Plus is a good alternative if you can tolerate codeine. Eases pain and cuts down on the beer fear, wrapping you in a feeling of a safe, warm blanket.

I second cold Irn Bru (from a glass bottle, a can or plastic bottle just doesn’t cut it) and a bacon roll or even a roll and lorne sausage when hungover.

Hopefully we're back today. I'm still confused why missing Friday throws everything off by a week. Or how BM is going to take a week.

Thank you all! Had the Sunday beer fear but now feeling recovered today. Waiting for this horror of a person to face her fate again today!

Chips and gravy, capri-sun and a solero sort me out.
I stopped drinking 3 weeks ago - desperate for an aperol but been sleeping soo well.

Feel like I’ve been anticipating the defence starting for ages. As has been said previously, excitement feels like the wrong word but I am on tenterhooks. Genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if he stood up and said like 6 sentences and done or went on the full 5 days after the plumber curveball….

Gosh I woke up feeling really nervous today, can’t believe we are nearly at the final week 🙏🏽
I hate that the defence is going last (minus the judges summing up) but then looking back at the defence so far it’s been so weak to me …. Just remember everything the prosecution said jury … you’ve got this 🙏🏽💜

In my opinion, there's nothing full-large coke can't do. Clean the toilet... Check. Cure a hangover... Check

Morning Tattlettes she's guilty AF, and those who dont believe that, you need to give your head a bleeping good wobble.
Still interested to see what BM has to say (bless him)❤

This is my go to - full sugar coke and a bacon sandwich dripping with butter and ketchup. *Chef's kiss*

Fingers crossed we get on the way to the end today. It feels like it's been [insert old lady from Titanic] years. 🥴

1. Pictures of Lucy looking sweet and innocent, stating how hard she worked to be a nurse

2. Pictures of Lucy socialising, how everybody loved her

3. Discussion on the danger of coindiciences and confirmation bias

4. Discussion on the possibility of multiple baby killer being on the unit

5. Conspiracy 4 , plotting against Lucy

6. Going through each baby, saying how vulnerable it was and how Lucy can't be to blame

I know there was some distaste over this wording earlier in the thread, but I am looking forward to hearing Ben's closing statement. He really hasn't got much to work with and I doubt anyone will be swayed after hearing the pros (I hope), but he is a professional and I am interested to see what he does. He is just a man doing his job and although I think he was unnecessarily harsh in some of the cross, he has to do his job properly at the end of the day. Reckon he has had a shot of whiskey and 20 fags this morning to spur him on.

PS does he actually smoke or have we all made up the chain-smoking thing? 😂

My hangover cure is taking the dog for a walk and picking up a slushie while I'm out. The day can only get better when you've started it picking up dog tit while hanging, so it gives me a bit of perspective 😂 the slushie is a sugary reward.

I do actually feel a bit sorry for BM, it's like he's been backed into a corner and it's hard to defend her without it sounding either ridiculous or hurtful to the families. I think he must have searched hard for a medical expert to help him but been unable to find one.

Hangover cures, dioralyte before you go to bed, then full large coke with a full English breakfast in the morning (remove any items that you dislike otherwise they will make a reappearance). And loads of water but not so much you feel watery aka nauseated or sloshy. The worst feeling ever.

(Also wtf why has the defence not started yet? I definitely reckon BM will pull apart the parents statements, he’ll go all if you remove emotion from it, it doesn’t make sense! Which will go down like a lead balloon).

I agree, we’re all here to follow the case which means both prosecution and defence. Being “excited”/intrigued isnt a bad thing. The general consensus is guilty AF anyway so it’s not like anyone is rooting for BM. I’m just intrigued as to what the duck he is going to say. I can see it being pitiful tbh and I’m here for it.
