I’ve had to register just to write down my thoughts on this case. When she was first arrested and in the news, I admit my mind went straight to ‘no smoke without fire’. Reading these threads made me want to try and think diplomatically about it and wait for the defence. I’m actually quite surprised-and glad-that this thread seems to be mostly full of open minded folk who are still throwing doubts into my mind. However, I cannot see how so many coincidences remain just that- coincidences. How many coincidences have to happen before it’s considered proof? Do we need to verify every murder by cctv or numerous witnesses? Why are people still trying to give reasons why she’d do this? Maybe she’s just a sadistic, evil person who’s used her position to ultimately do what she wanted? The trial is about her, not the hospital- yes massive failings there but there’s still the possibility that a murderer worked there. How does an incompetent hospital mean that only when LL is in the room alone with babies, they die or collapse? Never mind the post it notes?! Even if she’s done it and mentally unwell, she has killed babies- she is guilty. It doesn’t matter the reason why or her state of mind. So many questions, and I’m really trying to be as open minded as you lot but it’s a big struggle!
