I don’t comment much on tattle, only this thread recently but I have been a lurker for a few years now and can I just say this thread has to be the one with the best bunch of people in it. We read horrific things through this trial and talk about them here but it feels like such a safe space, nobody I know is following the trial so it’s comforting to know there’s all of you lot who get it. I think todays gonna be a big day!!!

They deserve every moment away from the courtroom. My head is fried, my heart aches and my tears are flowing most days just reading about these horrific crimes.
Imagine sitting there, seeing the parents, hearing their anguish and then hearing absolutely every single bit of evidence that has been provided. Facing the monster that did all this and listening to her bullshit. Having to wade through all that information to deliver a verdict.
Hardly sounds like a holiday.
Let's give them the respect and the credit they deserve.

I actually feel quite emotional, it feels like being able to let out a breath, there can be no doubt now that she's admitted lying to the jury.

Yesterday's evidence was tragic. If I was any of the parents after the verdict I'd go public. Put a name and a face to my baby so people could see exactly who it was she wiped off the earth.
I think part of me being so staunchly NG at the start is cause as I've said before I've had first hand experience of how corrupt government bodies can be and they absolutely do collude together at times to stitch people up. But not a chance here. Just so glad she gave evidence cause all them little niggles have disappeared (which again I probably only had due to my own experiences). Kinda glad she's gone NG cause we wouldn't have heard in detail what went on and the country as a whole needs to hear and know exactly what she did.
I hope at least one of the parents is a bit ghetto and know people inside who can get her got, good and proper. Not kill her cause that's easy. But maim her so she has to live with it everyday on top of knowing she will never leave those gates. Even Ian Huntley and Tommy Cashman stand a chance of release some day. But not Lucy. Off to the Levi Bellfield pile for you petal.

I don’t think I’ve heard anything more chilling than a sympathy card draft written out to three beautiful babies, two who died with in two days and the third which she was planning to kill next.

When all this first kicked off back in October (just after I had my baby) I genuinely thought she was crap nurse and had accidentally caused an air embolism or had been lazy and plunged feeds, maybe clumsily moved a baby and knocked the ET tube or chest drain.
This week has proven that all this was premeditated. The falsifying notes and making it look like she was elsewhere at the time, it's just mind blowing. I can't fathom why she would do this. The premeditation is so upsetting, how could she do this to these babies and their families?

I've been struggling so much with this case over the last week or so. I've believed that she is guilty for some time, but hearing so much more evidence about how twisted, calculated, manipulative, harmful and sadistic to these poor babies and their families hurts my heart so much. I've had to be resilient to so many extreme cases due to the field I work in but I can wholeheartedly say, this has been the worst.
Final nail in her coffin? The prepared sympathy note to three triplets. Reprehensible excuse for a human being.
Dr NN can get in the fucking bin as well.
BNE has given his performance of a lifetime and he has fought so passionately for the families and the babies that are without voices in this case. I'd imagine it'll be a bittersweet time when the verdict comes in for him, as if she's found guilty then he has done best by the families but doesn't change how many lives have been ruined.

I am 100% convinced now that there is no way there will a unanimous or majority ‘not guilty’ verdict.
I’m really hoping for a very quick unanimous verdict. but hopefully the worse case is a longer deliberation resulting in a 10-2 majority.
however my slight worry is if there are too many of the scapegoat type believers or those that feel it’s too big a decision to lock someone up for life (tbh those people shouldn’t be allowed on a jury) and my worry is they just can’t agree a majority. And ends up being a hung jury. Oh god can you imagine

She’s desperate to get back on the NICU cos she knows damn well she’s the common denominator and whilst she’s not there, there are no air emboli’s, no dramatic crash, no suspicious deaths. She’s flapping it to fuck isn’t she there, without her on the unit it’s so easy to see who’s causing it all

I was listening to the latest podcast earlier and they said ‘Nick Johnson’ and I had to stop and think for a minute, who’s that? Ohhhhhh BNE!
My thoughts re Operation Hummingbird and this window they are focusing on. I know it’s been discussed a lot but I’m almost certain that once this case is over, there’s going to be many more charges heading her way.
I think she’s always been a bit sick and a sadist. I think she’s probably inflicted pain on babies on a regular basis ever since qualifying. I think her methods probably varied but didn’t cause enough disruption for it to become an issue wherever she was working.
I think Baby A came, unfortunately for them, not long after LL had more knowledge of air embolus and she was testing out her methods. Murder may not have been her original aim but I think she got a kick from the buzz it gave her, the attention off other staff, and the pain she inflicted on the parents. From then on in, only murder would do to give her that high again. And I think that’s why they’ve focussed on that period of time (June 2015-July 2016) where she was arguably at her worst.
But I am also almost certain that, out of those 250 odd notes on babies, the majority will have had some kind of injury or unexplained illness or episode in hospital. She could potentially have another 200 charges of attempted murder or gbh heading her way.

That note proves everything. Those babies were targeted, she chose who lived or died hence the multiple attacks on the same child
Typical narcissistic temper fuelled by jealousy that she wasn’t being recognised as what she thought she was. I will put money on it she’s done it all out of spite, eg, if a parent appeared friendlier with Mel or Ashley or anyone else on the unit who shes jealous of
