Letby denies affair with 'married' colleague after being suspended
The court is now being shown photographs of Letby, taken from her social media and phone.

In one message, the male colleague she denied was her boyfriend exchanged a series of heart emojis via WhatsApp and travelled together to London at least once.

Letby says they had to cancel the second trip.
"[Colleague] was a married man, it's not a relationship at all it's a friendship," she says.

The prosecution says this document is "peppered" with lots of examples of Letby out socialising with people from the unit.

"You had a very active social life, didn't you?" Mr Johnson asks.
"Yes."

"You have deliberately misled this jury about your background," Mr Johnson says.
"No."

He says Letby also "misled [the jury] about your circumstances following your suspension".
"No."

i fucking knew it!!!! He was married!!! I said this months ago!!! The signs were all bloody there and she’s made this public herself. What an idiot!!!

I think getting her to admit lying to the jury is stronger than going in on the 'confession'. How can they believe anything she said when she would lie about what she was wearing when arrested, it just proves she is attention seeking and she's not 'little old traumatised Lucy' like she's tried to make out.

NJ: "Why did you lie to the jury about this?"

LL: "I don't know."

Really struggled to follow this week.

Sat at my nephews grave in the baby garden for hours tonight, thinking about him and the babies and how really fucking cruel this world can be.

I can’t comprehend the level of evil in her. It’s beyond anything imaginable. She’s rotten to the core. I hope one day, in the dead of night, someone injects air in to her and watches over as she dies in agonising pain - just like her victims. Evil bitch.
Awww lovey, babies just aren't meant to be in graves are they? It is a cruel world at times, absolutely it is.

She is rotten to the core, my head just can't settle. I just want that guilty verdict and her locked up forever.

I want to do something for the babies, it sounds ridiculous I know but they've shared their story with us and we've rooted for them, even if the only thing they can have now is justice. We have a little memorial patch in our garden and I thought of planting something for them there. We currently have a peace rose, some lupins, fuschia and pansies...all of which remind us of people we've loved and lost. I've been lay here thinking about it and I've come up with the perfect flower for them. Gypsophilia or babies breath, it's beautiful and delicate 🙂🩷💙

Taken a while to catch up. Was dreading the triplets coming up again. I just keep thinking of their poor Mam, giving birth to 3 healthy boys and only going home with 1. Doing amazing to carry them all for so long and then probably just expecting a bit of a waiting game and support before they could be a family together but suddenly 2 of them have died (been murdered). Knowing in her heart that something stank at coch and having to beg for her surviving boy to be transferred in place of his brother as the transport arrived just too late to save him. Even being obliged to consent to blood tests because sick bitch LL just had to grab even more attention by giving herself a needle stick. She’s stuck the knife in this family and twisted it again and again. I don’t know how any of the poor families cope with knowing their child would not have died or been left damaged but for the malicious actions of one person.

It’s worth preparing yourself and considering how you may feel even if a guilty verdict comes in. After following a couple of other trials involving the deaths of children, i hadn’t realised the enormity it has on you hearing the verdict is guilty. I think even if you know yourself they are guilty there is always this worry that the jury may decide differently. I can’t imagine it for the parents. But for me just as a member of public it was a mixture of huge relief, some sort of immense pride in the jury and the prosecution for getting justice for the little ones, that their stories were heard, we knew what they had to live through, the sadness and the anger having it all confirmed by law that they were harmed and murdered. That someone actually chose to do this to them. Then seeing it all blow up in the media. And they were just six week trials.

So far I’ve not had a jury let the little ones down so I have fortunately not experienced the emotions of a NG verdict when I strongly believed otherwise. I truly hope I don’t have to this time either.

Omg omg omg. He’s just proven to the jury she was manipulating them when she was telling them how sad, lonely and isolated she was when she was taken off of the ward! Shown them photos of her on nights/ days out with her ‘work family’ during that time! And a day to London with a doctor who can’t be named!

BM is whizzing through these questions isn't he. BNE has been so clever how he ended the prosecution, outing her as a liar so essentially anything she says from that point on can't be taken seriously. With my limited legal knowledge I can confidently say this has been the trial of the decade. Lol.

Holy fucking shit.

One of Letby's handwritten notes is shown to the court. It is the one which includes a draft sympathy message for Child O, Child P and another triplet.
Mr Johnson asks why a sympthy message has included the name of the surviving triplet as well as the names of Child O and Child P.
NJ: "Was that your objective, to kill all three?
Does this mean she's practicing writing sympathy messages for her cards before she kills this babies? Holy Mary Mother of God, I feel ill

I’m just dying to see her found guilty now.
I bet the jury are too (I really hope).
No wonder that one juror battled through medical problems to stay on the jury.
I would too, just to have the pleasure of sending that despicable bitch down.

I've just been thinking after O and P died, Dr Brearey wanted her to have the weekend off to process things because after two deaths it had been traumatic but she didn't take the time off. The very next day baby Q became unwell when she was at work. Sometime after, before (I think) her next shift there were secret crisis talks and Eireen Powell phoned her very nicely and told her not to come in for the shift and she would see her the next day and they could have a chat. By her own admission to "her boyfriend' she said Eireen had been very nice about things but she was seriously panicking. "Boyfriend" reassured her saying they were just looking after her and he went on to say what a wonderful nurse she was (tertiary level standard who he would entrust with his own children although they were now a bit older). She suddenly went into meltdown completing a Datix form (which she has been accused of falsifying to justify doctors incompetence and taking blame away from herself). If she hadn't done the murders and harm why would she panic in this way at this time, because she was being treated nicely by the manager, no one had accused her of anything and it shouldn't have been such a surprise receiving the call from EP as Dr Brearey had suggested some time off to process the traumatic events. Her reaction to the phone call from EP screams that of a guilty woman. I'm sorry if I spelt Eireen incorrectly I couldn't be bothered to check my notes under my bed!!

I feel so sorry for Child Q's parents (alongside all the others of course). Imagine having to listen to all of her lies and denials about other babies, knowing that they're closer and closer to one of the worse days of your life. Added to the fact she could've, and arguably should've been stopped well before she even got anywhere near your flesh and blood.

I know we joke and make light of some of the things on here, but I think today - maybe with it being the first week where we've had more consistent evidence, and she seems to have escalated in her awful treatment of these poor defenceless babies - has really got to me.

She's so wanting to keep control though, isn't she? Arguing with specifics about a 'crash' and a 'deterioration'. What a (thinks she's being so clever) bitch.
