But BNE can also hammer home that the only common denominator in every incident is LL and yet she has blamed a different person for each and every event which is beyond coincidental and looks like she is deflecting. 2-3 deaths per year and suddenly every baby she is involved death dies suddenly by a different person's fuck up each time. It just wouldn't happen

Where's she thought this one up? Yeah the nurses hands were covered in raw sewage so that's how the insulin got in.

I agree. The lawyers involved in these types of cases do a fantastic job of giving these babies a voice, as NJ is showing. It's a big responsibility and I'm sure he is spurred on by the parents sitting there too, relying on him to get justice done. The prosecution for Star Hobson was great too.

An innocent person would have no problem saying "I took them home" especially if it was a mistake. She knows there is a sinister reason for having those sheets so she is trying to minimise how they ended up at her house. Of course the media reporting isn't exactly verbatim. The court transcripts would be more telling I think.
Take this statement:

To me this feels odd. The word "flat" isn't a word I would use if I was in this situation.
I remember when I worked in childcare and one of the kids I was looking after had an accident. For me the atmosphere was frantic, I didn't feel "flat", I felt terrified and devastated. Thankfully the little boy I was looking after was fine but I still remember everything about that day. When I got home afterwards (knowing he was ok) I was exhausted, I blamed myself and I was genuinely really upset. This was a very minor event compared to what those medics had to deal with.

The first part of her answer is fine. Her answer should be in relation to how she feels personally. But she then says "You want to be able to save every baby in your care.." not "I want to be able to save every baby in my care". This is her barrister asking the question, if that was me and I was innocent I would be using the pronoun "I". She is using "You" - she doesn't need to create resonance with her own barrister as he is already on her side. Unless of course she is trying to create resonance with the Jury...?
This is just mithering on my part - I am not an expert - human behaviour and language just fascinates me.

“Had a good relationship” she’s in hospital with her sick premature baby what part of that is time for making fucking friends with the nurses. She’s so self absorbed it makes me vomit, seriously assuming that parents who just want to see their children get better and come home are making relationships with the staff

Not only that, but she spent two years 2016-2018 worrying if she was going to get away with it or not, with an increasing likelihood that the police were after her.
2018, finally arrested at 6am, with Diddums in her jimjams. Then given hope when she was released without charge. Probably thought she had got away with it, although she was booted out of her own house.
2019, she's raided again at Mum and Dad's. But yet again she's given a glimmer of hope when she's released without charged.
2020, after another year worrying and wondering if she was ever going to get away with it, her world comes craashing down when she's charged and put in the slammer.
It really must have been tumultuous. So I can believe she has PTSD. And she deserves every bit of it.

Ok I’m still baffled. That is quite a lot of rabbiting on about sewage. Can anyone tell me how the sewage only causes issues for babies on Letby’s shift? How did sewage cause cardiac arrests and deaths that Letby is saying in all her texts to anybody that will listen just how shocking and unexpected the collapses and deaths were? She says this all the way along. And at no point after 3 babies died in 2.5 weeks did she think, fucking hell I’ve got to do something about this I’m working in a unit overflowing with shit and babies are dying at the annual rate in a couple of weeks. Every time I’m on shift practically.

First time poster. I have followed these threads avidly throughout the very start and have loved reading everyone’s opinions and also the banter to get everyone through the tough times. You are all amazing !
One thing that popped into my head randomly is why if Lucy was innocent would she describe the rash completely different to everyone else!
She knows the rash is from her causing an air embolism and that’s why she has to describe its appearance differently! If innocent she would have no reason to deny!
There are so many witness accounts she contradicts because she knows these little snippets will lead people to her guilt!

Nothing he can do at this point though, he can't talk to her whilst she's giving evidence. She is completely rogue and all he can do is watch!

A thought has just struck me while gardening (when I get my best ideas...) Her messages about being worried she was missing something, that she wasn't good enough, that she was worried she was being incompetent....if that were me, and I had any doubts about my ability to nurse in NICU, there is not a chance in hell I wouldn't raise those fears with my line manager and ask to be taken off their care because I wouldn't want to leave anything to chance. If she were so traumatised, and so worried about not being good enough, why on earth was she so desperate to get back into nursery 1? If she cared about the babies and families, how could she talk about being worried she is "missing something" and yet still try to insert herself into the care of babies she wasn't even supposed to be responsible for? Or come in when she wasn't even on shift? It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
I'm sure this has been spoken about on these threads before but I'm brand new and only read the last 2 so far...
