This is a real point of interest for me. It does look like everyone is in an agreement that foul play was the only possible answer for the insulin. When your defence is based on people conspiring against you and the fact the hospitals failings causes all the other deaths. It’s a big ask of the jury to expect them to believe that there’s an attacker for the one charge that you just happened to not be present at.( I know she hung the bag or whatever I think her defence here is that she wasn’t present for the actual collapse) it has only been briefly skimmed over and could be a reporting error so I’d like to hear a little bit more detail but if she is conceding that and you couple it with all the obvious lies with the handover sheets. You’ve also got her odd memory, she’s trying to say she can remember “insignificant” babies names to search families on Facebook years later. But now she’s on trial for their murder, she suddenly can’t remember. That’s just not gonna wash is it. I think she’s in a bit of a hole.

Thank you Real life got pretty tit and I haven’t had time to follow in the day and then been trying to catch up on this thread working really hard all night.

But anyway, I’ve kicked my bf out and I’m off to marry The Real NJ( not that imposter fella). Absolutely loving his questioning this week. Definitely an honorary Tattler. His cross examination has been even better than I’d hoped for so far. So much to unpack but you guys have covered it all (in the 90+ pages I had to catch up on ). Really wish I hadn’t cancelled my annual leave and had made the journey to court. Not that there was ever any doubt in my mind but I’m 1000000% convinced of her guilt. Forgetby you’re a thundercunt.

If the judge is correct that we’re expected to end around the end of July then we’ll be hearing the verdicts around what would have been my nephews 10th birthday my heart has been really aching for the families this week.

Whole life order starting point – the ‘exceptionally high' seriousness category
Sentencing Act 2020, Schedule 21, section 2

The starting point is a whole life order where the seriousness of the offence (or of the offence and other associated offences) is ‘exceptionally high’ and the defendant was aged 21 or over when the offence was committed.

Cases that would normally fall into this category include:

(a) the murder of two or more people where each murder involves (i) a substantial degree of premeditation/planning, (ii) abduction of the victim, or (iii) sexual or sadistic conduct;

(b) the murder of a child if involving the abduction of the child or sexual or sadistic motivation;

(c) the murder of a police officer or prison officer in the course of his or her duty, where the offence was committed on or after 13 April 2015,

(d) murder committed to advance a political/religious/racial/ideological cause;

(e) murder committed by a defendant with a previous conviction for murder.

Also as with Wayne Couzens they can deviate from the above category. He didn't fall into any of them but because of his position of trust and the fact he used that to lure Sarah away and he went G from pretty much the start didn't he.

Also Levi Bellfields been confessing to loads of new crimes lately. My fella said he will be doing that cause he will get perks, potential days out ( as in going out to identify burial spots ), they'll be buying him KFC or whatever in exchange for his information. She will probably do the same once she's exhausted her appeals. Not really an option for her but he said sometimes people on WLO will be paid to confess to crimes other people have done. They obvz can't go out and splash the cash but means they've always got money on spends, can buy some nice fresh clothes etc.

I am sure she’s guilty and I don’t think Baby A was first baby, I know police have set up a team to investigate but I wonder how many other babies she harmed or killed in her career.
There are parents out there that potentially don’t even know it yet but could potentially be up in court if she’s charged with more.
Shes an evil sick fucker, roll on Wednesday and Hope Ben has a tit weekend thinking about what rit she’s going to come out with next week.

We went to court yesterday. Arrived early- shouldn’t have bothered barely anyone arrived until 10:15. We went into court 8. I’m guessing there was overflow press in, some I guessed police and a few public members- perhaps 10. There was a little talk from the barristers before it began. Lucy was quietly spoken, faced ahead, never looked at the prosecution once, seemed particularly quiet with short answers to the prosecution, but a little more at ease with the judge. The prosecution man was lovely with her, not in the slightest intimidating, calm quiet and everything was said nicely. After the first hour he was asked to speak up not everyone in the other court rooms could hear. He very nicely asked Lucy if that was ok, that he wouldn’t use a different tone. Only that he would be louder. He did forget and he went quieter. He also asked her if she needed more time to look at things etc at times he thought she might need it. I was a newby to court and was expecting the prosecution to be quite firm, almost angry and he was the opposite. IMO if it was me in the box I wouldn’t be intimated by him. She only breaked to drink water once to my recollection. Tbc

I’m going off the chester standard and will add any additional info to their points an agreed fact was brought up, whereby LL had said she was in room 1. Sophie Ellis had also agreed that in her statement. LL said she disputes that. She has no memory of it. A lot of the next parts she also changed previous agreed facts. At one point the prosecution where she went back on the agreed facts he asked her if not recalling something meant that it did not happen, that just because you don’t remember it does not mean that the thing did not happen. For an example I dispute I was there, I disagree I wasn’t there, yet if you don’t recall that time how can you say you weren’t there. I’m not sure at which point exactly he said that

Yeah it was 1991 just had a quick read. So many similarities between her and Letby. One thing that struck me was that Allitt got caught pretty quickly whereas Letby was allowed to carry on for a whole year. Goodness knows how much else there is to come out.

Yeah this was the year before was born. She was a bleeping DISGRACE. My mum was terrified of going to hospital to have me. Horrendous.

Finally caught up! The tale of two Nicks was so funny .

I really bloody thought she had decided to plead guilty yesterday morning and the delay might have been for the parents and families of the babies to be told before it was publically announced in court but seems not .

Jeez she is coming across badly, I knew BNE would have her tangled in knots but didn't expect it to be so relentless. She just looks like a liar now, if I was on the jury I wouldn't be believing a single word she says from now on.

thanks so much @nosycowmoo so exactly what @Tofino and others pointed out about not recalling but also saying it didn’t happen. Explains all his “you sure you don’t want to change anything” he starts with each day I think.. as in you sure you now want to go against the agreed facts?!
Did the bit where she agreed she had a good memory stand out as much is it did to me as a reader? It literally felt like an utter slam dunk after hours of not recalling anything that didn’t help her . She’s claiming that in police interview she couldn’t recall baby D and the events around the death of a stable full term baby, yet BNE 2.0 got her to point out she had been interested enough to remember the parent’s names for her Facebook search. She remembered baby K’s parent when they’d only been on the unit hours and searched them over two years after the event. And not hugely long before the police interview yet she could give no reason as to why she’d done so or remember a great deal about baby k but on the stand she knows that Dr RJ has made up what he saw
