@Tofino was it easy to attend court? Did you need to ring ahead beforehand?
If I can get childcare I definitely want to attend as I don't live too far away. But I'm a little bit nervous about the process. So any advice/ tips for attending would be really great. Xxx
nope don’t need to ring or anything. There is a public entrance and you go through security check. You are allowed food and drink in your bag but they will ask you to sip your drink. Then you go through a scanner, just like airport really. Then you can just go wait outside courtroom 8 on first floor until they call people in just before 1030. No food and drink in court itself although you can have a bottle of water. (Not sure if that’s typical or just more relaxed being a video link room).
Toilets opposite courtroom. Phone use is ok in the areas outside of the courtrooms but not inside.
it doesn’t matter if you can’t get there for 1030 either, people walked in later than that.
You can go outside during breaks you just have to go back through security again when you come in.

Wow thanks. I just feel il always regret not going if I don't, or at least try. I was just abit apprehensive it might be a bit scary to get in. But it seems quite easy.
Iv never been into a court before and so it all seemed daunting but I think I can manage that!

I was Googling some of the weeks and sizes of the babies and it’s absolutely shocking that the hospital didn’t raise this sooner (I know some people were trying their best to ) those babies should not of died … babies don’t just collapse and die.
It was my limited understanding of neonatal as I had sadly assumed that all the babies were in little incubators under light needing around the clock care with really thin skin and tiny BUT some were only 6 weeks early …. How does a baby just go into cardiac arrest which is full term and “healthy”
I don’t have babies yet so I think seeing the sizes and weeks mentioned was hard to visualise. A couple were sick but expected to live …

You could be completely correct that this one charge for baby N could get a NG.
I guess the issue is, Letby was there and the baby went from stable and 90% saturations to extremely quickly at 40% with extreme swelling and fresh blood in his throat? And that similar fresh blood is also seen in the throat of C, G and E . Perhaps this will be one of a few NG charges but when the jury are asked to look at the picture as a whole and wonder how likely it is that baby N who had no issues, who letby had described as having a 50/50 chance antenatally before any real knowledge about how he was doing (he was fine), just developed sudden throat swelling and bleeding that seemed painful. When she was his nurse, she failed to alert anyone or record more fresh blood, this seems very unusual and troubling given his haemophilia and previous problems. She had no excuse for this in PI but I imagine we might get one on the stand.
She goes on to record more blood in her handwriting but initials it as somebody else. Again seems a bit strange and a bit of a coincidence with the other troubling things like failing to tell anyone on shift that a baby with haemophilia was bleeding again.
The doctors trying to intubate child N had never seen anything like the swelling and blood behind his vocal cords. He was screaming on all occasions his throat was swollen and bleeding, which I think would tend to suggest pain stimuli. Especially as the chances of a spontaneous bleed are so incredibly rare and wouldn’t present in this fashion, episodes of bleeding with days in between and screaming. He was about to go home I believe when the most serious incident happened. Would you not expect after such serious issues with swelling and bleeding in the throat causing extreme collapse and distress, if it were a naturally occurring medical problem, that the cause would have been found and he’d have continuous issues in that area? He’s been unaffected since. For me that would be far more important if I was on the jury.

could it be that this baby did have a genuine collapse and she saw that and thought she could “have a go” (god that makes me feel sick) later on because of what had already happened to that baby and it would therefore be less suspicious?
What have I just read. There is a section in there blaming the vaccines as well. Shock. Wow.
This would be exactly the sort of thing I referred to back in a previous post where we have to be careful what reports we accept at work regarding a psychological diagnosis. As you can pretty much pay anyone to give you a report with a finding you require
Anyone who’s around london, the old Bailey is always a good one to visit! Except in national security cases or other exception circumstances all public galleries should be open (or a second room like in this case) so in theory anyone can go and watch!

I’m already concerned for the crazy tit I’ve googled for this case and the Idaho Moscow murders that if I’m ever taken in for a caution for ANY reason they will instantly lock me away for life … not sure I should add old Bailey visits to my list
Before I went I had a look at what else was on at Manchester crown court just in case I couldn’t get into observe Lucy’s trial so at least it wouldn’t be a wasted journey. I found that Manchester now has a new ‘super court room’, where they can hold trials for crimes with multiple defendants. for up to 12 defendants I think. And there is one running at the mo and looks like it’s a drug gang (based on googling previous convictions) although not sure what this trial was specifically about. But I thought that would be really interesting if not quite intimidating!!
There was also another murder trial on. Hit home really how this is going on every day up and down the country but we only hear of the big ones.
I have just read up on this now! Wtf!! Is the concensus that it's true? If so it explains a lot and Reddit needs to be burned to the ground
Can you go in to any court to watch a case? Might have just found a way to spend my days off when I don’t have other plans
I have been following this case from the beginning and reading Tattle (just rarely post!).
I wondered, do the prosecution (or defence) team review any of these sorts of threads, or try to get an idea of what the public think re guilty or not guilty, so they can amend their questioning accordingly? What I mean is, with the view that these public threads may align with what a jury may be thinking currently?
I hope this makes sense.
