Think it goes on number of posts. I was at well known member for a while then got downgraded to chatty member. The outrage was realSorry to derail but going back to James or whatshisname who said he can’t join tattle because it’s full… if so then why do I see people posting with the title new member? Or is that just based on how many posts they’ve made rather than how recent the account is?
Definitely, I'm still on the fence till I've heard everything, but this really makes me doubt her, I posted before about my little girl in nicu and how a nurse made a few mistakes one night and I had to leave I was panicking so much, this was years ago and I still remember the day and time, I looked for a FOI cos I was convinced they'd overdosed her because she ended up with health problems after, I knew the exact time to look back on the FOI, because I remembered it but I was also able to check my calls and I called her father straight away after, it was ingrained in my mind, there's no way that mother is mistaken.Yup, no doubt in my mind it happened as the mother said, simply because the alternative story that we have been offered doesn't add up at all!
I think she has had to deny it happened at 9pm, because it wasn’t mucky aspirates, it was blood. And Lucy hadn’t called the doctor, which is why she had to send mum away. If she didn’t send mum away, mum would witness she hasn’t already called the doctor which would be worse for Lucy in that moment.I'm really intrigued to see where this clash about the mother visiting and seeing blood goes. Re-capping with the wiki is very interesting in that it seems like such an easy thing to explain away? There's mention of a mucky vomit/aspirate around 9pm. So okay - the mother visited, heard about/witnessed fluid around the babies mouth, mistook it for blood or mis-remembers it as blood. Simple misunderstanding, no big deal.
But instead the claim is that this 9pm visit simply didn't happen, which is such an odd contradiction??? Feeding chart says a 9pm feed was due, mother remembers it as 9pm, father remembers it as 9pm. Interestingly the father also recalls re-assuring his wife over the phone, telling her to stop panicking and let the nurses do their job.
He had 2 phonecalls in which he could reassure his wife, 9:11pm and 10:52pm. But 10:52pm was actually a midwife getting in touch to say his baby is severely unwell and he needs to get to the hospital, so really he could only have done it at 9:11pm. Which means... his wife must have visited prior to this, and seen something concerning, SURELY?
Yes agreed. I don’t think their opinions carry any more weight just because of their profession. They will carry plenty of biases around too, doing their own research and forming opinions based on that and not just what’s in the trial (all fine for forum discussions of course but doesn’t mean they know better). They have only accessed the same amount of reporting as we have. Nobody on any discussion forum is hearing the full evidence. That Reddit thread is full of smart arses that just want to think of some poor person being used as scapegoat
If she was a scapegoat there wouldn’t be foul play proven
Scapegoats do not have hundreds of documents they shouldn’t have in their home, they don’t search up families etc constantly
The only defence BM really has is making the whole thing look vague, yet when you go back to the prosecution notes it explains it properly. He’s not exactly convincing for me, cos he’s not denying that any of these things happened, or said it could be poor training and she was oblivious, he’s basically saying there is someone doing bad stuff on that ward, but it isn’t her and anything that makes it look like her is coincidental

I didn't want my post to be novel-length so I trimmed it down but essentially yeah; it seems like Lucy is very aware how important it is to deny the 9pm visit, because that one detail causes a domino effect.I think she has had to deny it happened at 9pm, because it wasn’t mucky aspirates, it was blood. And Lucy hadn’t called the doctor, which is why she had to send mum away. If she didn’t send mum away, mum would witness she hasn’t already called the doctor which would be worse for Lucy in that moment.
So she sends the mum away.
If I remember rightly I think the doctor who Lucy said told her to omit the 9pm feed does not recall that conversation. And there were other things too but I can’t recall at the mo.

I'm much more likely to believe the doctors used in the court, where I can see them and can find out their medical history over an internet strangerReddit - Dive into anything

This is probably the Reddit thread with medical professionals PP was on about. Tbh a lot of the responses are similar to here.
It’s user ‘aggravating south 28’ posting journals and claiming to be a scientist who has done forensic work that is the main contributor. But they are not based in UK, doesn’t even understand that the neonatal unit doctors were not medical experts but witnesses (can’t understand why nhs medical experts are being used because the alleged crimes occurred within the nhs). Can’t understand why it’s even got this far or continuing, called it akin to a Salem witch trial. It’s easy to kill a preterm baby yet fails 10+ time so it’s nonsense. And that she took a break which coincided with deaths she’s not accused of.
Tbh some of the forensic science stuff would be interesting but they lost me with all the other conspiracy theory stuff. A few samples below but they post quite a lot.

Honestly, those screenshots alone were really hard to follow, because they are wordy posts with technical words and I may sound horrible, but it just sounds like they are trying so hard to come across really knowledgeable, but failing.
Also, the minute the mentioned Covid they lost me completely. This was 2015/2016, long before anyone mentioned the dreaded word.
It's baffling how some people will go to what I consider extreme lengths to say she's innocent.
Just had a nose on reddit and a fair few medical professionals are saying they think NG. There's a thread on there asking for medical professionals only to give their opinions.
Just gone and read there, bleeping hell. Wonder if this is the same pathologist who writes absolute bull articles claiming rare diseases in cases of child murder that I sometimes get suggested through Researchgate emails.Reddit - Dive into anything

Wow. HIV doesn’t cause AIDS, capitalizing on the vaccine conspiracy theories, child deaths caused by vitamin K deficiency rather than shaken baby syndrome? What a bleep. This is the guy I'm speaking about, btw. He's done weird expert witness work defending child abusers, including that a baby who was killed by blunt force trauma actually just had an infection.
Completely nutso. Unfortunately there's some weirdos with science degrees who like to go and fuel conspiracies with complete pseudoscience.
Yeah I mentioned this when I heard the podcast too. She went into the room to say hello to the other nurse which the other nurse confirmed was normal, then while she was stood chatting the baby collapsed. I agree I couldn't find her G of that incident, I think there were further incidents where she had more contact but this particular one seems to be a stretch.I listened to a few random episodes of the podcast some weeks ago now when I had a rare hour to myself. Obviously the presenters/journalists are in court so are getting a much more accurate version of what’s being said. I was struck by one particular episode which they mentioned I think Baby N. I think it was in one of their special episodes. They said that it had been established by the prosecution that LL had come on shift and not been anywhere near the baby as she was confirmed to be elsewhere by their witnesses - I think at the desk. It was accepted that she had not been near the baby and yet the baby had collapsed. I don’t recall seeing that reflected anywhere in these threads or the live reporting etc It was right at the start of her shift.
I may have the incorrect baby but that is a very important piece of information clearly. With my legal hat on, listening to that, there is no way that the jury should find her guilty of that charge when the prosecution are saying that she was nowhere near the baby at the time.
It is run by neckbeards who live in their mother's basements and it shows, but I find it useful if I have a random piece of info I need because there will always be something on reddit or indeed an entire subreddit.Slightly off topic but…Reddit just does my head in after a while. It’s ok to dip in and out but the whole atmosphere is so superior and toxic, it’s like you’ve offended the whole of humanity if someone takes something you say personally or the wrong way. I am so glad to have found tattle, it’s civilised discourse even when opinions differ. And no offence to any US users but it’s nice to not have people making out of context comments on the assumption that US law applies to the whole world, or having people argue points that are not applicable to the NHS.
