Craig David checking his Google notifications yesterday.
I agree, I’ve thought the same. I do think she enjoyed the attention side of it too. A bit of hero complex going on that’s quite common amongst HCSKsBit random, sorry, but this is just what's on my mind - the way Lucy behaves reminds me of an extreme form of 'grief porn'. By overstepping with the parents of the deceased babies, watching them as they grieved and overstaying her welcome, stalking their Facebook pages to find posts about them etc. I feel as though she had some sort of obsession with watching them grieve and being involved with that. 'Grief porn' has been described as 'fascination with other people's disasters and a sentimentalism that is out of place', she reminds me of some sort or voyeur.
What makes you think she came off better than expected yesterday? All I saw were tears on cue like we all predicted, not recalling any conversations with multiple colleagues and parents that make her look bad (not even - I did say that but I meant this, she just said I don’t recall it. Sorry don’t buy it) - remembering stuff that makes her look better now but she couldn’t remember in multiple police interviews (like why she was searching parents on Facebook) and then just generally odd responses that an innocent person is unlikely to say but a guilty person overthinking what an innocent person might say (like she would never harm a baby as it goes against everything a nurse is there for - seemed too rehearsed and not a normal response for a decent human being)Yeah you’re right, it makes far more sense to make the comparison when the thread closes really. I suppose it’s also polls I’ve seen in other places where people are having discussions which have consistently suggested that there’s a much larger split between G/NG compared to here.
I think she’ll trip herself up too tbf, so far I think she has come off better than I expected her too, but I think the prosecution will probably run rings around her with the questions they ask.
I'm expecting a full-on 'collapse' under cross examination. She won't be able to control any part of it and we all know how narcs respond to that.
I think that's when we will see a whole range of emotions and I'm betting a quid she will 'faint' or become 'unwell'.
So…who do you think is responsible for killing and harming the babies? Because LL is the only common factor. It’s hard to get your head around and to accept it as true but there needs to be a viable explanation for what happened and it’s Lucy Letby.I’m probably going to regret saying this but I genuinely don’t think she’s guilty. I think my mind is telling me that what she’s accused of can’t of been done by her because it seems too cruel. I’ve been a silent follower from the beginning but I just can’t wrap my head around it.
I’m very confused.
Sadly though, we’ve seen health care serial killers before. It happens, no matter how much we can’t comprehend it. just like how parents can kill their own babies and children too. The risk is letting someone like that walk free just because it’s too awful for us to think someone could possibly do it.I’m probably going to regret saying this but I genuinely don’t think she’s guilty. Yeah even if found not guilty she would probably have to do return to nursing before she could get her PIN again. I think it's 150 hours per year you have to do which obvs she hasn't done any for what 5 years? You have to renew your PIN every year to stay on the NMC register and do at least 2 shifts a year (I think), plus revalidation every 3 years which is mandatory to keeping your PIN.
I very much doubt she has been able to do this, I imagine that her PIN status is currently suspended and even if she’s found NG I very much doubt she will be able to return to nursing easily…

Edit to add - I meant that she very much is unable to renew her PIN/revalidate for obvs reasons! not work a shift ….
I think the ‘nice Lucy’ mask will slip under cross examination and we will see another side to her. The same side that referred to the consultants as guys on her noteI'm expecting a full-on 'collapse' under cross examination. She won't be able to control any part of it and we all know how narcs respond to that.

She's suspended, you can view the documentation here. You have to renew your PIN every year to stay on the NMC register and do at least 2 shifts a year (I think), plus revalidation every 3 years which is mandatory to keeping your PIN.

Do we know when she was first suspended? It says 18 months but is that 18 months since she was first suspended or how long the suspension is in place for. She's suspended, you can view the documentation here.
I know I posted about Jessie McTavish earlier, but I think LLs chances of ‘returning to nursing’ are ZERO.Yeah even if found not guilty she would probably have to do return to nursing before she could get her PIN again. 2020 is when the NMC put the first in I think!Do we know when she was first suspended? It says 18 months but is that 18 months since she was first suspended or how long the suspension is in place for.
