Also thinking how LL sobbing in the stand acting like a victim must be so upsetting for the parents to watch, when it's their babies who are the victims. I haven't watched many trials tbf but find it weird we can allow a defendant to talk about how much being suspected/arrested/detained affected their life (PTSD etc), yet we didn't hear from the parents how much losing their baby had affected theirs. Their evidence was just focused on the facts in the case not their emotions/feelings/life after the deaths.

Just found it in bad taste, that LL couldn't hold it together on the stand for even half a day, when she'd held it together for all the months the parents were testifying.

I think she’s guilty. She seems to be a very jealous and vengeful person, reading her rambling notes about never having a family - I wonder if watching mums and dads United in their love for their babies was too much for her.

She is truly evil. I’m surprised that anyone can think she’s not guilty! She’s a raving lunatic

I had a reflective diary I used during my preceptorship for reflection, would put initials and a couple of words to jog my memory, I didn't keep it up but lots of nurses use them.

I don't think she's coming across bad tbh, I mean she's clearly weird but seems plausible.

BTW well aware I'm in the minority based on the reactions in the thread 😂
I agree, and i know i'm minority and hopefully dont get slammed but her answers seem quite believable to me at the minute. Yes the excessive searching is odd.. obsessive And intrusive, BUT, happen she was at work talking about a baby or family, it triggered her to search them then went down a fb rabbit hole. Its weird, unproffesional and invasive but unfortunately thats what social media enables, and sometimes peopld get stuck in weird habits dont they. From a different perspective, i've had patients search me on fb and try adding me (im a nurse) its very creepy! Also, im quite an obsessive person and it made me think today, i wonder how many times in the last 6 months ive relentlessly searched lucy letby, dan on twitter, judith, tattle forums, chester standard, tried snooping on Fb 🤣 it would give me quite a shock if i actually got presented with numbers, times etc 🤣 my friends and family would think i was well weird but im guessing some of you guys might be in the same boat 🙊. Anyway for now, still on the fence!

Well well well. I’ve began working my way through 40 odd tattle pages now😶🌫. Fuming I was busy at work today.

I had indeed voted that she would take the stand - lol, but I only went with that guess based instantly when I saw the poll the other day. No way throughout the last 20 odd weeks did I think she would! Ask me then and I would have voted no. When someone pointed out many do, it all fits with her. It’s the ultimate stage of attention for her now.

right I’ll carry on reading…

p.s when is Della doing her thing? 👀

ok I was tempted to go on Friday but it will probably be Ben all day if he’s only starting on baby A then.

Next week the two dates are 11-12 May. 11th I have a meeting I can’t change. So I’m tempted to go on 12th and hope to catch prosecution instead of defence.

I only really have one shot because of childcare. But technically I can go Friday or next week. So not sure which to do.
I’m the same, Friday like last time is the best day for me. I’m also wondering now with all the press coverage today whether we would actually make it in? Cost me a fortune last time as I parked opposite which was £8765 for 4 hours and then accidentally went in a bus lane for about 3cm and got fined for that 🙈 still glad I went tho 😅

I think this is where the cross examination will be interesting because her answers are what you'd expect from someone who's a bit weird whether innocent or guilty and trying to look innocent.
She's also sat thinking of what to say for a long time now and been prepared for today so to see her on the spot will make a massive difference.

Only if Letby drops dead after you’ve just been with her, otherwise it’s not suspicious at all is it. Did you find her police interview not believable? IMO they both can’t be believable she’s totally changed her answers.

expensive day out then 🤣

I hadn’t seen you post today so had been really hoping you had gone! I am wondering how full it was.

@OldBlondie please can you ask your old mate Dan if general public were able to get in today? Tell him you’re asking for a friend 🤣

So awful for them!
also have to chuckle at BM letting Letby go ahead and answer these questions totally differently from her police interview. Think of all the times he’s accused people of making things fit and changing their story but here she is suddenly giving different explanations for the words in her notes, for the diary, for the handovers, for the Facebook searches. I know it’s the name of the game but kind of crazy when you think about it!

If you look at her FB searches just on their own, she'll only seem obsessive with unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Look at her keeping and storing confidential notes for long periods despite knowing it was wrong, and lying about it, shows someone with a lack of integrity who can't be easily trusted.
Look at just the notes on their own, she seems unstable.

But being obsessive, lacking healthy coping mechanisms and integrity, lying, untrustworthy, unstable - this is not enough enough to prove murder.

Now add on the medical evidence i.e she was the only one present at all the unexplained incidents where deliberate harm was said to happen.

So you now have someone who's patients have been deliberately harmed and she was the only one present, who is also obsessive, lacking healthy coping mechanisms and integrity, lying, untrustworthy, unstable.

I personally would struggle to see how she wasn't guilty beyond reasonable doubt because that would be ignoring a lot of evidence that needs to be seen together, not separately. Because they all tell the story of the same person.

I think the searches, in isolation, can definitely be explained as her having an obsessive personality etc but I think add that to everything else, I struggle to explain it the same way we all probs have a bit of a stalk now & again

Edited - @Windowtothewall we posted at the same time but everything you’ve just said is what I’m thinking

I get what you’re saying, but you’re not being accused of murder. Separately, some of these things may seem innocent (if a tad weird) but together it makes the bigger picture. You can’t ignore the fact that she was there for every single incident.

Omg I read that earlier and thought “typical 🙄😂

Excellently explained! You're absolutely right.

This should have been the prosecutions closing statement 🤣

rebecca leighton could be used as an example of this although it was only around 6 weeks before it was rectified. She said her life was ruined.

i don’t think there is anything she could do, perhaps change of name and move away.

again with rebecca as an example the right killer then carried on hence why they knew they were wrong, they stopped once Lucy was removed.. i find that quite telling personally (i know people will argue it was cause they were down graded)
It's really quite telling isn't it, no excess deaths before Lucy started, then lots of deaths/incidents on night shifts, then day shifts once she got switched to days, then no excess deaths once she left. If it was down to poor staffing/training/whatever, they would have carried on.
