Even weirder is the fact she made a timeline of the events. How did she know what events/babies and what timeline they were referring to.

Also if she did make a timeline she would know it looked bad. Yet, she doesn't seem "overwhelmed with worry" if she's more concerned that "they" will look silly. Her reaction is not at all normal for someone who is being suspected of causing deteriorations and under investigation - she seems cocky!!
I wonder what made her start the timeline? Like you say, how does she know what they are even looking in to? Goooodness me!!!!

Sounds like we are finally getting a picture of who LL is. This feels like it will be an interesting and important week for the prosecution

"The three handwritten notes are shown to the court.

One is a blue post-it note, with handwriting featuring Letby's thoughts. The other two feature the name of a doctor several times, one saying "[name of doctor] I loved you" and "[name of doctor] my best friend."

Other messages on the notes, which have been densely-packed and messages among swirls of writing, read:

"I can't do this any more"

"Help me"

"We tried our best and it wasn't enough"

"I want someone to help me but they can't"

One message, in thicker handwriting overlaid on the yellow note, has the message "HELP"."
Nah she’s mental sorry but wtf
she clearly was obsessed with this doctor

I struggle with the dismissal of the note. Even without, it is pretty clear someone has INTENTIONALLY harmed these babies. The person accused just happened to write a note saying she ‘killed them on purpose’ but nope she is just going through anguish and fear. Yes she is going through anguish and fear, because she has been caught the fuck out.

it’s getting to the point where I’m wondering just how heavily he was investigated/questioned with her too, she has directly and indirectly implicated him (assuming it’s the same one) massively. The only thing in his favour that he didn’t meet her until at least half way through the babies we have heard about.
Yes, It must be the same doctor NN for sure and might explain why his name isn't made public. He must have been investigated as there must have been something going on if she said she loved him. And they are showing this as evidence. Wonder why 'loved' - past. He's beginning to give main character energy himself.

I know this is barely comparable but I briefly worked at the NHS in human resources and it was a fucking nightmare. Management were untouchable and all claims of bullying within the department fell on deaf ears. One manager was a hideous bully but a jekyll and Hyde character - everyone knew she was horrible but nothing ever got done, even when people below her were resigning or getting signed off sick with nervous breakdowns no one would confront her or deal with the obvious problem. So hearing about upper management not wanting to do anything about LL doesn't surprise me on one level but Jesus, the stakes were so high that I also can't believe it!

Having worked in the private sector all my life, my year in the NHS was a complete culture shock and I will never work there again! I genuinely thought I'd be joining a fair and nurturing organisation but it was vile! The managers were clearly just looking out for each other and counting the days to cash in on their pensions!

‘They will look very silly if they have nothing or minimal on me’ seems extremely cocky to me

The court was told that in the weeks that followed Child Q's collapse, Ms Letby was taken off front-line duties and placed on a three-month "secondment" to the hospital's risk and patient safety office

How bloody ironic.
Long-time luker here, popping in because this finally piqued my interest enough to feel a need to comment.

I used to work in a hospital/trust risk department. It's very interesting to see LL was sent there, we got all the nurses that had rubbed people up the wrong way seconded to us. They were always bitchy, rude, superior and just generally twats to those of us peasants who didn't have clinical background. LL strikes me as being the same.

One thing to note though, regarding Datix forms. A huge, huge number of Datix reports are extremely retrospective. Often their sole purpose is back covering, and although it might well be the case that her use of the system is more sinister than others, it's not remotely unusual. It's also very common for ward staff to use it to hammer home just how bad thier equipment/staffing levels are on the ward. The number of staffing reports is unreal.

In the trust I worked at, every single Datix was read and then either closed or investigated further. It was my job to read them and make the call as to whether we followed up or not. It's a good database tbh, provided it's used properly by front line staff.

I haven’t listened to this weeks podcast yet but @OldBlondie said in her summary of it that they’re not expecting the prosecution to finish for a few weeks. That seems more likely to me? The note was like their micdrop on the opening statement I can’t imagine we won’t be hearing about that and other evidence found in detail??
Hopefully Dan is just referring to the individual babies cases.
I must say I do think it’s impressive they’ve spent so long going through every baby individually, in detail. None of them have been rushed. Each baby has had their full story told and had everything explained as if it was the first baby to be spoken about ❤

Do you think tigger and smudge were nicknames her and Dr Noname had for each other? Or did she kill her cats too? 🙄
