I'm catching up on a few pages and I can't remember if it's ever mentioned, but does she ever question why she's only on day shifts and not nights?

In the timeline, is she on day shifts only now?

The friends I have that work in the medical world seemed to do a mix of nights/days.
Haven't seen her question it but it's really common for people who prefer nights to be given a stint of days every now and then.

Here in the States anyone you give permission to drive your car is covered as long as they have the right to drive. Some insurers automatically add family members as they come of age, making the assumption that you will let them drive. If someone had a dui, they may require a sworn affidavit you won’t let them drive to keep rates based only on your record. You would be primary insured and your record the main one.
Generally when I’ve had fully comprehensive insurance (uk) it would allow me to drive other cars with 3rd party, fire and theft cover, but I would not want to take that risk with someone else’s car. If me or other family members wanted to drive each others cars we used to have to add named drivers either for the full year or a short period of time.

If expert witnesses work with police regularly - and are paid - then it makes sense that they will naturally have some form of a bias. That’s not discrediting their evidence or their knowledge however.

But it’s his job? He’s done stuff for the NCA prior to this. The NCA didn’t have to give him the job if they felt he wasn’t suitable.

Do you think the NCA would have told him the shift patterns of all the nurses so he made sure the ones he found suspicious were only Lucy’s? Or did he just get lucky?

This is just getting into conspiracy theory territory. Ben Myers saying ‘you gave them what they want’ meaning NCA wanted to pin this on Lucy for no good reason and Dewi Evans was the man to make sure it was done. WHY??
I’m pretty sure he’s not completely daft - if it’s got to the point that police are investigating, and it’s moved on from purely clinical negligence, I’m sure he’s savvy enough to know that his evidence will be required to prosecute someone.

I agree, it’s like they think they’re living in some sort of TV show. Look at how they behaved with the NB case as well, accusing her family of killing her from the start with absolutely zero evidence to even suggest it was him.
I feel like some people want to be the person who solves the case or see themselves like the people in Don't F With Cats.

Just thinking out loud after reading updates today (and bear in mind I'm staying on that fence until after all evidence is heard) so this is just me musing and looking at things objectively as best I can.

The Prof today says that it's likely insulin was in 3 bags. As earlier evidence suggested the previous insulin case was likely insulin in 2 bags yet baby survived, are prosecution implying or perhaps evidencing (circumstantially I know) that LL realises 2 wasn't enough so tried 3 this time?

Shudder if that's the case.
interesting. It’s possible she escalated because I think she did in other ways too. I’m not close enough to the details at the mo, did she have access to all 3 bags?

Thank you, just been reading over it and struggling to see any evidence of the X-ray she mentions 🤔 I know they have an expert in Haemophilia to say she doesn’t believe it was a spontaneous or pulmonary bleed but this doesn’t seem based on an x-ray, no radiographer evidence. Seems odd but perhaps they’ve not mentioned it yet.
And if there was an X-ray, who actioned it? Surely she couldn’t have x-rayed a baby without anyone realising? So that sentence to the Dr seems completely left field.

Honestly 😅 as if anyone thinks Letby is guilty because of how drippy she is in texts or not. Or texts full stop. Easier to get bogged down in the little bits for every single baby than address the overwhelming evidence that she is there just before these babies collapse and die, that they came to harm, that they were poisoned etc etc.
I was discussing how drippy the Dr is in texts 🤣 the constant ‘are you ok’s’ would drive me nuts 🙈🤪 I’d take his car and ram it into a wall 🤣

so essentially she told the Dr she had a crush on this info for attention, but didn’t put it in the notes or tell anyone caring for baby? Disgusted doesn’t cover it😡
I don’t understand how she hasn’t told anyone else though if things had been put in place ie giving factor 8 and X-ray. And she had documented it in notes too.

I’d love to know if this evidence is statemented and logged/dated somewhere at the time of it allegedly happening.

I wonder if those things happened prior to her noting the fresh blood which she doesn’t tell anybody about. Interesting she can give no answer for that. Just awful.
