Right here fella https://tattle.life/threads/00s-nostalgia.29788/I didn't know there was one? Tag me or else I will launch my best kitten heel straight at you!
Lmao this is like the Marcus Mitchell thread. Every other day I'm accused of being MarcusI knew you were letterz![]()
I’ve looked at it but I always feel like most on there are a little bit older than me, like talking about going out in the early 2000’s and I can’t really relate.some of you need to come into the 00s nostalgia thread![]()
Friend, I will post it to you, it was the absolute bees bleeping knees, even my bullies were jealous of my uber basic witch bag
Guys, pop that bag on ebay, label it y2k and watch the money roll in from millennials who have no idea it’s from the 10’s, not the 00’s.I’m certain I have that bag in the loft![]()
Genuinely think that we should obviously keep it serious during the week when the trial is ongoing, and then just have a laugh at the weekend, at least it stops fights from happening. Also can I just say I’m sometimes a bit apprehensive about coming on here at the weekend. I’ve said before when there’s nothing really new coming from the trial some of the convos can be quite circle like, and I find that is sometimes how disagreements can arise. So glad it’s not like that this weekend, and we can be serious and respectful, yet have a good laugh too. I’m sure when trial resumes on on Monday it’s going to get bleak and heavy again. Right sorry, as you were Fellas. You’ve come out with some blinders, today has been an absolute hoot so far![]()
How dare you derail the 00s LL beige chat.Sorry to interrupt the less serious chatbut I’ve just gone back to read the wiki again & reading the defence statement which obv is going down the route that the hospital wasn’t great. Has anything massively improved in the hospital since this period as obviously the deaths reduced again didn’t they? Are they stating it’s because the unit was changed not to accept the more poorly babies? And also, was the care/hospital dramatically different prior to these deaths? Or has this not been mentioned or discussed?
I wasn’t going out then either, I’m only 28 now! But it’s the other memories of clothing and magazines etc that make it for me.I’ve looked at it but I always feel like most on there are a little bit older than me, like talking about going out in the early 2000’s and I can’t really relate.
who is this Marcus Mitchell fella you speak of? Not heard of this FellaLmao this is like the Marcus Mitchell thread. Every other day I'm accused of being Marcus![]()
Thanks fella. As you all wereHow dare you derail the 00s LL beige chat.
It's so hard to know how the hospital has improved, it hasn't been brought up in the trial yet but I'm assuming the reports will be mentioned by the defence. They were downgraded to a level 1 unit so didn't take as poorly babies which would have reduced the acuity and risk. They also would have needed to act on the other issues raised in that report (I don't have the link sorry but I'm sure another fella will be able to help), so there would have been improvements.
Hey, I'm chronically unpopular! I have lots of acquaintances who wouldn't have much bad to say about me but Ive never been in the cliques or in crowds at work/ school either...usually because they're beige A.F and can't stand anyone who is different or has any individuality. On a serious note, I’ve worked in places where half the nurses sounded just like the last few pages of this thread.
If your face didn’t fit (I.e. too old, too brown, not clarted in contour and highlights for a night shift) you were ignored, didn’t get your breaks allocated fairly, didn’t get the help you should have with patients.
Nursing can be intense, if you make a mistake, people die. I think a lot of younger women don’t have much of an identity outside work and the culture on some units can be absolutely vicious.
I’m starting to think Letby is guilty, but there is nothing wrong with taking your work seriously, enjoying the company of older colleagues, going on holiday with your parents or wearing horrible tops. Maybe she had a three bedroom house cos she didn’t spend all her wages doing keys in £200 dresses?
I am old and have never fitted in anywhere, I also did waste all my money on clothes and having a good time so I’m not feeling personally attacked. I’ve just worked in some toxic places and feel a bit sad that the thread has slid into similar “let’s pile on the frump”. It doesn’t make you prettier if you say she looks tit.
I won't merail with my story again but I had a positive birth experience there in June 2017 (except there weren't enough fans to go round and it was hotter than the surface of the sun). Then an awful care experience when I lost my dad in 2018.Sorry to interrupt the less serious chatbut I’ve just gone back to read the wiki again & reading the defence statement which obv is going down the route that the hospital wasn’t great. Has anything massively improved in the hospital since this period as obviously the deaths reduced again didn’t they? Honestly tins of chocolate and biscuits are amazing and they keep you going on a long day. A box of doughnuts from Tim hortons or Krispy kreme is like Christmas morning on the ward, maybe a couple so everyone gets one. Food gifts are worth more than gold in healthcareWhile we are on a bit of a derail, I know there are many HCP on here who could answer. I have mentioned on here a few times my son has had a few ops and is looked after by the same nurses on the same ward every time. He is in for another next week and I would like to know what gifts, if any are appreciated and not just the same old tin of biscuits? No budget in mind, they really have went above and beyond and this trial has highlighted that even more for me
Is he a nice Fella?who is this Marcus Mitchell fella you speak of? Not heard of this Fella![]()
he is only 1 but last time we did a moon pig one that is up on the board. I never know if I will offend getting them food giftsHonestly tins of chocolate and biscuits are amazing and they keep you going on a long day. But they really really won't need a single thing, a card is more than enough because nursing can be a thankless job sometimes so just knowing your work is appreciated is enough. If your son can make the card (dunno his age) then that's even better.
has there been anybody who knows her personally come out of the woodwork and talked about her? Ex partners? friends? family? etcYes your right, the pictures really far down. Interesting.
There was one fella on one of the Facebook groups, said he often spoke to her whilst she was in prison.has there been anybody who knows her personally come out of the woodwork and talked about her? Ex partners? friends? family? etc
there was Jammy on Facebook who swore he was her friend but not sure if it was true or not. He protested her innocence.has there been anybody who knows her personally come out of the woodwork and talked about her? Ex partners? friends? family? etc
