Oh Dr Breary broke me. The horrible thing is that Karen Rees et al will probably still be getting a good sleep tonight, but I bet he doesn't. I bet this weighs on him, despite how clear his conscience should be. What a good decent man he is.
He broke me...how anyone can think he and the other consultants were making her a scapegoat is beyond me. This guy is nothing but genuine and you could feel the passion he has about his profession.

It's tit yeah I agree. But whatever her mindset it's not changing her fate. There'll be no control for the rest of her life.
Am i the only one who thinks she will bottle it and kill herself, or someone will take the chance if there's a dodgy screw in there that let's them near her

I just still can’t believe the verdicts finally here, I always thought that she would be found guilty but seeing people mention a hung jury did give me a few wobbles but to know now that it’s done, she will be locked up forever, thank god. I’ve pretty much skimmed over what’s come out today because I haven’t even processed the fact the verdict is here, so much more to digest… it doesn’t feel real, after all this time!

You lot are absolutely amazing, the kindest, most intelligent little group of people I’ve come across online.. I wish I knew you all in real life, you’re good people.

I think this thread will be going for a long long time, there’s so much to still come out. Dr Brearey, I wish I could give him a hug, he’s saved so many lives and I think he’s a real life hero. I think we will hear of Dawn again somehow. I also think we will hear off of letbys parents at some point, I don’t know, just a niggly feeling. I hope the jury can have a few weeks off of work and aren’t straight back into it, they need time.

I have no words big enough to explain how I feel for the parents, my heart completely breaks for them.

Today has been a LOT for me and I’m not involved in the case at all, I don’t know the ins and outs of the case like some of you do so god knows how you’re feeling. Thankyou to all of the good people involved in all of this.
Sending my love to everybody. X

I have been following this trial and tattle from the very beginning before the trail even started. Like everyone I feel numb now there is finally a verdict I was expecting to feel happy justice has been done after following every single day but I really don’t. I just feel more heartbroken and that it is actually real.
Now this is all in the news I am only really looking at tattle there’s too much to take in and I love the community here 💕
On a lighter note this comment on Lucy’s ears !! I started looking into it and apparently a lot of serial killer do have no ear lobes ?!
oh ffs I have no ear lobes!

Good point. The baby charities that have been listed do excellent work, but big national charities do tend to get the lion's share of the funding already and if people want to make their money stretch a little further I'd recommend that they look up their local children's hospice and donate there. People may not be aware of this, but palliative care is very poorly funded in general and many local hospices rely on public goodwill to keep going. It feels like it would be an apt choice, as children's hospices not only care for terminally ill children but also offer respite care to those with very severe disabilities who need to be looked after round the clock. One surviving child has quadriplegic cerebral palsy as a result of Letby's attempt on her life, and she and her family will surely be relying on their local children's hospice for a long time to come.
claire house is one on the wirral and have charity shops around liverpool/wirral/chester too if anyone would rather donate that way <3

I don't think they'll give her the opportunity to kill herself. She will be monitored 24/7.

My unpopular opinion.

I don't really know how to word it but I finished panorama feeling a bit disappointed. Its like it didn't know what it wanted to be?

I wanted them to name and shame each manager that allowed this to happen, to speak factually about the cover up and to highlight the attendance and interference by Letbys father. I wanted then to be knocking on the doors of the mats who disregarded Dr Breary and his couragous colleagues and ask them for a statement. Hold them accountable publicly.

I didn't want to see that stupid twit of a friend and I didn’t really care for the thoughts and feelings if the journalists at this point.

It felt hashed together so that they could get it on TV for verdict day, it felt insincere.

As our friend F1grid has pointed out this is a travesty of monumental proportions and redacted emails ain't cutting it with me. I want bleeping balls on the table and I want change. Now.

Hope I've not upset anyone. That's not my intention.

I hope Dr Breary is blessed with everything wonderful that life has to offer. His kindness, sincerity and indeed his heartbreak shone through ❤
I agree. I want others to see the inside of the jail for this. Karen Rees can get in there for a start.

Do we think the sentencing will be televised? I know this sounds really ghoulish (but I also know everyone who has been along for the 10 months will know i'm not being ghoulish) but I kinda want to see how Goss reacts to her guilt, I think he will dislike her as much as we do. I hope he gets to tell her how evil she is - even thought the gutter rat is refusing to face him.

That Panorama was crappy to be honest. WAAAY too much given to the doubter's sides, showing that it was made before the verdicts were in. They really shouldn't be allowed to spread doubt now that she's convicted.

Especially that David Wilson wick giving his tuppence worth. Saying he "read the prosecutions' opening statement and thought "is that it?" there was no smoking gun" - no that's not it, you lazy, ignorant wick, if you can't be bothered to follow a trial then don't present yourself as an expert on the case.

He also said "she doesn't fit the profile of a health care serial killer" - she literally does. She ticks the majority of the boxes.

And then going on about the "I killed them on purpose because she's not good enough to care for them"/"I'M EVIL I DID THIS" note - he was saying "It could be "I'm accused of -"" and saying it's just the ramblings of someone upset. No, she's a CONVICTED serial killer, we can stop debating now, the obvious confession note was just a confession - no hidden innocent meanings.

I really dislike David Wilson after this and will never watch any of his tit ever again. He's now all over the papers giving his theory as to her motive, and he's basically just copy and pasting Roy Meadow's Munchausen theory for Beverley Allitt, and the hero-complex theory from other health care serial killer cases.

He clearly knows nothing at all.

On that note the documentary shouldn't have kept going on about it being all circumstantial and there being no motive - we don't need to know her motive, and for non-sexual serial killers, we actually rarely do. Plus it was NOT all circumstantial - not that it would matter if it was - circumstantial evidence is evidence - but there was also direct evidence from two witnesses who caught her in the act, and medical evidence.

It's the eyeliner that bugs me
Don't bring the utter queen that is Chew Chew into this mess. I won't have it. 😂

I've finally caught up. I've not watched Panorama. Just reading your thoughts was enough.

I feel fried. Not just because our holiday accommodation is hotter than Letby's room in hell. It's just been so much and like many of you, my reaction to the verdict has been so different to what I had imagined.

To our posters who were at court - just wanted to send you some major love. Since the verdicts started rolling in you must have found it really hard. ❤

I can't get my head around the triplets. How there was no verdict on the third. 😔

What a lovely post, you nailed it there, I don’t think we were expecting the mix of emotions that we all felt today. I’ll raise a glass tomorrow night, I'm in bed catching up, enjoy yours. I skipped ahead on this post to see people thought of Panorama report, the thread has been flying today as we expected. Sleep well tonight. 💕💕💕💕
Same, I’m about half way through the last thread but came here to watch the Panorama doc. Back I go as want to properly read everything ❤ hope everyone gets some peace this evening - we have reflective supervision at work regarding vicarious trauma from (reading) upsetting cases, and us reading this trial is no different - so guys look after yourselves plz x

Couple of things.

- Whilst not enough of a conclusion for all families, feeling really proud of the jury for working so hard.
- Disappointed the CEO who read out the statement from COCH used a detached, sing-song tone, almost like he was a reading a story. Now was the time to show he cared.
- Finding it very revealing how much LL's father got involved in her work issues and how much he played a part in getting bleeping 7 consultants to apologise to her. Unbelievable.
- Whilst the NHS is brilliant, I have personally seen this week regarding my job how utterly incompetent managers can be and how many middle managers have been recruited to roles they are lacking in true ability to be in. I strongly feel something needs to be done about this, because LL is the perfect example of what can happen when ineptitude is ignored.

I have lurked on these threads as the whole thing has made me incredibly uncomfortable and seeing this unfold has given me the worst anxiety.

But the witch is guilty. After us all stressing over the jury.. I send all my love to the parents, families & the medical staff affected by her abhorrent actions. I hope they get the closure they deserve and that this further investigation isn’t substantive as I can’t bare to think of any other families to be a victim.
