Croxteth is not a nice area so not sure why the tabloids are trying to paint it as a utopia home to the middle class 💀

He was in the nice part of West Derby though.
Yeah I thought the media was all down on Croxteth since Rhys Jones, but they must have forgot.
Always a danger they’ll get it mixed up with Toxteth as well.

They could also throw up something he experienced on active duty that caused him to act that way, like PTSD ? We don’t know what his medical history is or why the sudden change in media reporting ( basically non existent today) why the drugs charges have vanished and the original charges have been downgraded to an extent.
Might be a deal, if he's going to plead guilty immediately. I wouldn't fancy his chances with a jury anywhere in England, and the 'of previous good character' mitigation isn't likely to wash with a judge, it's a miracle no one was killed.

Will they keep this guy in custody for his own safety? Guy's gonna have a price on his head outside of prison, and in prison

Isn't GBH what Cheryl cole was charged with for punching the toilet attendant that gave her a look she didn't like? Should be more than that!

Yes he’ll definitely be remanded in custody and then whatever time he serves in custody between now and his sentencing will be taken off what his custodial sentence is.

Unlikely he'd get bail, tbh. Very serious violent crime and more risk to him of being at liberty.

(Chezza Cole was charged with Actual Bodily Harm, as she decked someone who sustained a black eye).

If someone got 2.5 years in prison for writing threatening messages on twitter he should get 50+ years for what he actually did and how much worse it could have been.

Whether the drug was coke, steds or prescription meds, whether he's had a responsible job in the past, whether he's a nice family man who walks the dog- he's just another bog standard violent male who's ruined lives and I'm sure we'll be encouraged to care more about his sad feels than his crime.

Even the fact that all the photos of him are smiling pictures with his kids faces blurred out, as opposed to his mugshot, highlights how the press are treating him.

One neighbour claiming he was dropping someone off for an appointment? Ah yes I too made an appointment at 6pm on bank holiday Monday in the middle of town when it was packed for the parade 🙄 come on now

Re all the 'poor man was stressed and possible PTSD etc' shouts. If he was an experienced Marine Commander (or whatever) I would expect him to remain calm in a situation like that, not lose control of the car and swerve it everywhere and into everyone. Do we even know his circumstances of leaving the military?

He boils my piss as does the media right now.

I don’t think the police release mug shots until someone is actually convicted (because he’s not pleaded guilty or been found guilty yet). If there is already one made public for a previous crime then the press may use it.

Totally agree with you. Think more people need to consider if that would still feel the same way towards him if he'd hurt their family member!

I never referred to him in that way at all if it’s my post you’re pointing to…I’m simply pointing out those things could be a factor in his defence there’s a reason for the sudden turn around from the CPS , lots of military men do suffer from MH issues it’s not uncommon at all.

Yes! I’ve just had a heated discussion with my partner about how it doesn’t bleeping matter if he’s got PTSD or there’s a reason, he’s a twit who made a disgusting decision in the heat of the moment when the red mist descended and I’d expect someone military trained to be even less likely to do something like that.

Whether he’s been a stand up guy all his life up to now is bleeping irrelevant, he’s a monster.
