I didn't think they'd go for attempted murder because the bar would be very high to prove that, but to injure nearly 80 people and only get TWO counts of GBH?

Come on, man 😂
Probably difficult to prove intent for everyone though

He will be going down for a while anyway so I’m not sure if the counts matter that much tbh but that seems to be a bit of a hot take at the moment

There is literally footage of him driving his car off the road and towards the pavement full of people. I don’t see how he can be charged with any else.

Bloody hell! Do they they normally give out full address, apart from house no.?! 😳
No drink/drug charge, they'd have bloods back by now wouldn't they? Presume below the limit to charge.

Wasn't expecting attempted murder to stay, frequently gets dropped once into the process as so hard to get a conviction.
The bloods wouldn't be back by now. They can take months.

He lives on a gorgeous part of Crocky park estate. Successful businesses, a family, lovely house, probably a lovely life judging by what pictures are being shown and he’s ruined it all for himself by getting behind a wheel probably up.
Not going to lie, my first thought on seeing where he lives, the holidays in Dubai and the nature of his official business was if it looks like a dealer and sounds like a dealer.

I’ve never met an ex military man who wasn’t a massive bellend tbh
I know many military personnel who are really good people, many who do a lot of good work in their local communities with little support. Many who advocate for the mental health of veterans who have seen horrific things. None of them would dream of mowing people down with a car. He's a bellend (I'd say more than that).

What was the nature of his official business hadn’t seen anything about that. I’m guessing his social and families will be deleted the press must of got these photos before they were as they knew the name before it was announced.

Why are there not 70+ charges?! I get the GBH but why isn't each person getting a charge?

Also, I couldn't give a tit about his background. Who his wife is. What his hobbies are.

There were people there celebrating. Kids. Babies. Families.

Inexcusable behaviour.

Can they not add charges on after? Maybe got the accounts of the 6 they have charged him for but unable to speak to the others yet?

I think the charges relate to the injuries, apparently two charges relate to children. There are 7 people still in hospital. For GBH you need there to be serious harm so it’s the most seriously injured.

🤣 Nooooo, that's massively generalised, I've worked with loads of project managers in IT, a job which is usually full of bellends, but the ones that are ex military officers are usually amazing project/people managers. They know how to get things done, get them done efficiently and precisely, and how to not take any tit. And usually have great life stories for the pub after work. But as I say I am specifically talking officer class.

I see that this guy worked in cybersecurity, now that's an industry that is absolutely full of chancers, it's basically keep up with a few websites and podcasts every day, pretend you understand it, and regurgitate it to the executive team/board and ideally get them scared about hacks and attacks so they keep you around and also spend on cybersecurity projects 🤣

You would think all seven still needing to be in hospital would have a separate GBH charge.
