It's so interesting to me that people seem to be wanting to give this guy a pass or say it was a mistake but the guy who killed those 3 poor people in Nottingham who had documented mental health issues (!!) is seen as a monster. I'm not saying he isn't but it's super interesting that because this guy "only hit people with a car because he has ptsd" can be excused.
Regardless of situation in the past, if you do something like this you deserve everything to be thrown at you.
It can be used in mitigation, but the judge doesn't have to take account of it. The victim impact statements could be brutal, as there's at least one person who survived the Manchester Arena bombing and some fairly young children involved.
Anyone else heard the rumour, and it is just a rumour, that he was thrown out of Hooters shortly before.

This fool needs to plead guilty, take whatever sentence he is given and hope that there aren't any angry people in prison who might wish to do him harm. They'll have to lock him up with the n*nces, probably.

Absolutely doomed. He'll have to be in a nick far away from the North West and even then he'll meet some very upset people. Trying to run down little kids and pensioners is generally frowned upon by your decent honest crim.

I am sick of mental health, autism , PTSD being used as excuses for bleep behaviour. It's actually insulting.
Whatever sentence he gets he can’t step foot in Liverpool again can he? He’s ducked in prison and outside of it. His wife and kids are surely not still in the house now their address has been released, I wouldn’t wanna stay there if I was her.
It’s always relevant to mitigation in court, and as mitigation it’s useful to know these things because they are an explanation. But, since it was announced this fool was in the marines, people have become really keen on labelling this as PTSD.
Career crims generally look down on people who harm kids, old ladies etc. That's why they have to keep certain criminals on a separate wing. Ex coppers also tend to get a hard time.What's a decent honest crim? Bit of an oxymoron
