Haha do you remember how Estée’s interior design friend literally f up the bathroom. Not this one, but the other one
Yeah, if I remember correctly - wasn’t that girl gone quickly and never heard from again too (like all of her SWF “ermmagawd-you’re-amazing” friends).. 😬🤣 haha. Though besides the wall paper don’t remember it being terribly bad?

Klaxon alert - she's on her period again (said in the vlog today).

She's also redoing the kitchen - I think this will be double fridge and re-painting the cabinets. They made mistakes but Lily just can't learn to live with them for a while, everything has got to be switched up cause THEN and only THEN she might feel a bit of happiness.

She mentioned it had taken her an hour and half to drive back from picking Grey up (on Wednesday when her mum previously looked after her). Where she lives is AWFUL for traffic - esp at rush hour but makes me think her parents have moved further into London rather than left the city?

She talked a lot about her hair in today's vid and honestly it looks so terrible that I kind of feel bad for her. Like it must suck to never have a good hair day and it's obvious she's really conscious of it. I do think a lot of it is the heat styling she does + the horrendous balayage, but I also think she just got dealt a bit of a tit hand hair-wise. You can tell it's pretty dry and unruly naturally and I think even if she did stop heat styling it would still be pretty dry looking.

I think if she dyed it all dark, cut back on the heat styling (I don't think it's realistic to think she'd stop all together), and cut off the dead ends that would be a good start. What I don't understand is why she continues going to Hersherson's and keeps using products that were designed for people with straight hair that clearly don't work for her - she's such a slave to the brand names even though they're clearly not working for her. She needs to put in some proper research to find other stylists & products that will actually help her

i don't disagree, but also she's been frying and killing her hair for years now.

what she needs to do is stop heat styling, stop colouring it - use a curly hair girl method and get her curls back. im sure her hair would go back to being healthy. sure it would suck for a while but it would be so much more worth it than the mess she has now.

there's so many different videos on it too so its not like she cant figure out how. they all put in the hard yards and it goes back to being great in like a year. she has the time.

Today's video: "architect plans for the loft" aka "I am the worst and most jealous work-wife"
You can tell she’s that kid that got jealous when she was younger and her parents would go out of their way to get her whatever she wanted once she’s thrown a four day screaming fit.

So I watched on invidious, because I’m a masochist and can’t give lily + Anna up since I’ve followed them for SO LONG 🤣🤣🤣

I feel like her hair is almost green it looks so bad. It’s manifested her envy of the Newtons. 🤣 But I all honestly, I do feel a wee hot bad for her because it truly looks awful and she’s self-conscious of it. I wish she’d stop looking to supplements and “quick fixes” to solve her hair instead of cutting back on the heat styling, moisturize the heck out it if, and let it be for a bit, natural. Of course, she’s low on iron and vitamin d so she needs those supplements — I just feel like she’ll be the focus / blame on that rather than how she takes care of her hair.

I found her comment about people sticking things in letter boxes and stealing your keys VERY STRANGE! Is that a thing? I’m in Western Europe, and we have letter boxes too, and I’ve never heard of that happening. We have 2 front doors (one leads to our storage / mud room which leads to the house and the other leads directly into the house) and we use both doors, and they each have a bowl with keys etc. I can’t imagine someone sticking something through out letterbox and stealing out keys. However, where I love though it’s customary to have 2 locks on your doors with 2 separate keys, countrywide.

I’m glad they’re staring to think about their loft conversion and will add some extra rooms; I hope rich gets a *desk. And I think I’ll *hopefully* look nice. She’ll definitely add in a double door fridge and repaint the cabinetry. I do absolutely love The Hague blue, but fee it should be on the lower cabinets only. I think the best part of the house is the kitchen — I love so much about it, but would have definitely put in a double fridge first time round.

*even my husband who doesn’t have a 9-5 job and works in transport has a desk. He’s gone 6 months out of the year and still has a desk. Poor Rich.

“No” was the most important word my parents taught me.

So.... Does she have a thyroid issue? Or just a slight vitamin deficiency?

When talking about her hair issues, she did not mention heat styling or bleaching once. First it was the postpartum hair loss that caused her issues (yes, almost two years after giving birth) and now it's vitamin deficiencies. While these things definitely affect hair growth, it seems that her issue is not hair loss per se, it's the fact that her hair breaks really easily. So shouldn't she try her absolute best not to damage her hair, rather than trying to stimulate hair growth? It may take months, even years to see any results in that department and it may all be worthless if she keeps damaging her hair.

God I tried to watch her video and it is so so boring. Also made me laugh about the hair vitamins that she said she wanted to do her own research before buying them, but then her own research was asking her friend to check! Also moaning about the mess on her counter. A bigger tray will not help. It will just give you more space to dump stuff. Maybe just maybe allow Rich a draw or a bowl or somewhere where he is allowed to put his wallets and keys you dozy mare! Bananas can go on a hook or another bowl. Candle is a bloody candle. Christ

Speaking from experience of being dark hair going blonde, you need to protect your hair so much (I have olaplex in when I get mine balayage), heat/uv protection etc. She needs to get the ends cut off and go back to a dark brown (dark reflect light more so it will instantly look healthier). She might have to live with a short bob for a while but I’m sure she’ll find some way to moan about it.

So there’s a column in the Sunday Times today about how so many Londoners are smug and mistakenly think that everyone envies them - it’s SO Lily, this quote in particular:

At the risk of sounding like the opposite of my liberal metropolitan-elite self, I’ve started finding some aspects of Londoners exceptionally tiresome. It starts with the idea that everyone desperately envies them, which gives rise to smugness and a London-specific kind of overconfidence. But step outside the capital and you realise that the envy thing isn’t true. Teenagers everywhere might envy Londoners, which is only right and proper, but grown adults? I’ve never met one.

I laughed. Hard.

I live in a flat so this isn’t an issue for me but my parents never let me put the keys on the hall table when I visit because thieves may see the keys through the window and stick a long hook / magnet through the letterbox to retrieve them and break in. Never heard it actually happen but burglaries are very common where they live to best to be safe!

ETA I’m from the North of the UK (not London), so this may just be a UK thing

At this point Lily is just in denial about her hair. I'm all for her sorting her blood levels, but I can't see how she has access to so many specialists and not a single soul tells it how it is to her? Maybe she just plays down the amount of heat she applies to her hair on a daily basis to them? Like when some people are not 100% honest with their GPs about how much the actually drink/smoke... Or maybe they do let her know that dying + styling her hair all the time is just not good and she chooses to ignore this part of the advice.
