Well of course but realistically the move in day is really busy and a lot of people spend it with their families before they leave

Fair enough. When I was at uni people's parents left in the afternoon and most of us spent the first evening/night with our flat and people on our floor/in our building. Obviously bit different this year but I would have imagined most people would still spend the first night socialising with their flatmates at least. We'll see what happens the rest of the week anyway.
I work in a pub in a big uni city and all last week and weekend we’ve had freshers having their first outings together, that can not be her excuse for not hanging out with her new flat mates. She went to the ivy with one of my old friends on her first night... I really hope she makes an effort in the next couple days or she’s going to feel isolated once that bond has been made
That's good to hear. Little do they know it but for many of them, that's their first drinks with friends who'll be with them for the rest of their lives... quite a nice thought really and not something to miss out on!

Just imagining back to when I started uni and if someone said to me on the very first day "want to go to Zara and take pictures of me for my instagram?" I think I would have laughed in their face!
Does anyone have any thread suggestions? I am not creative

Anyone else think Lidia isn’t going to last 3 years in uni? Don’t get me wrong, I really really hope she does! But I just have a bad feeling that she won’t because it’s hard and she’s living comfortably with YouTube/instagram, and moving away is even harder? Who knows

Personally I don’t think Lidia even puts effort into YouTube so I can’t see her dropping out for it yet. Like her videos are mainly vlogs based on what she’s up to, she doesn’t plan unique videos etc. They’re quite easy q&as and vlogs and cooking etc. Which tie in quite easily w uni. So unless she branches out from that I don’t see how she needs more time for social media if you get what I mean

So her flat pasta night was just her sat at her desk with a mate. Drinks with two mysterious girls, then turns out it’s just madi and her mate. It’s like she’s trying to convince everyone she’s socialising. I hope she’s not just living with madi and her friends. But then at least it means she’s not ignoring her flatmates.
Feel like I’m being quite critical but just bugs me the thought of Lidia thinking she’s above other students cos she’s an influencer and already has mates there. Treating uni like a trip away and an excuse to move out. I hope I’ve got her wrong and she makes an effort but atm not seeing much. Especially after seeing her getting a taxi to go to Zara.

Or I guess Madi came round for pasta lol but if she’s not into socialising at uni, she should’ve just moved into a private accommodation with Madi. Part of the uni experience is to get to know your flatmates even if they’re not “your people”. Get some drinks and play ring of fire!
