I always find it really gross and disgusting the way some fans get angry because cast mates / band mates etc don’t release statements immediately. I’ve even seen comments accusing people of not caring. It’s like they think they owe them their grief. It’s very sad people aren’t allowed to grieve in private, over someone they actually knew. Parasocial relationships have really gotten out of control since social media

After you’ve had such success what do you do with the rest of your life?
you’ve all the money in the world but (no pun intended) no direction. We all need to feel useful, have purpose. He didn’t anymore and that’s got to be hard.
you’ve all the fame so can’t do a normal job, you can’t be normal.
Yeah he went from being adored and performing to sold out arenas all over the world to being a bit of a joke figure all while watching his band mates do better than him, Harry winning Grammys etc. I think I remember him saying he was very close to Louis, I wonder if that was still the case.

I don't think any of the 1D men should put out a statement until they are ready to do so, and not at all if they prefer to express their sadness and grief privately. They don't owe the fandom a statement of how devastated they are. It doesn't mean that any of them don't care, does it? Everything has to be public these days, with various social media platforms.

Exactly. Give them time to process what’s happened before their words are shared around the world.

I’d expect when something does come out it would be a joint statement. To stop people comparing what each person says.

I hate the whole spin of bullied to death crap. By all accounts, he was off his face and jumped the balcony, not in his right mind, probably thought he’d survive. It wasn’t suicide. Just because he’s famous doesn’t mean he’s above reproach and shouldn’t be held accountable for his actions. There’s far too much smoke without fire, not just his ex girlfriend. A young man is dead, which is a tragedy but this framing it as something else does no favors.

I don't know a huge amount about any of them, but I thought Niall Horan also launched a successful solo career.

The level of fame they hit as a group at such a young age must be absolutely frightening in many ways. Niall seems very grounded though.
Niall has had a very good solo career so far, not as big as Harry, no, but still very good.

Could it be argued that the early fame led him to drugs etc and without that he obviously wouldn't have thrown himself off a balcony not in his right mind? That's the angle I saw the statements from.

It's beyond pathetic, people are entitled to mourn in private and just because they follow influencers who post pics of their unflushed tubes, doesn't mean that the very axis of life is dependent on releasing a statement on social media. Really indicative of the sad world we live in.

Plenty of people turn to drugs and addiction without being famous.

Must be difficult for the others in One Direction to get the tone of any statement right as well. Everyone knows at least two of them couldn’t bleeping stand Liam.

Oh Deffo and many have come out saying the whole X Factor was a horror. Especially Rebecca Ferguson. Even in America the whole Nickelodeon scandals, more should be put in place to protect children. There’s also an awful lot of people, including his band mates, that have done amazing for the opportunities. Lots of people have had harder life’s and they don’t use their fame to abuse women or groom underage girls.

It's funny how it's only the failed X factor people who are witching about the show. 1D got to see the world and make millions because of X factor. The 5 of them wouldnt have got that if they'd never entered the show.

Limmy doesn’t run the LimmyTwitchClipsPlus channel, it’s a fan account so the fan has disabled the comments. I don’t think it’s necessarily fair to try and point fingers and single out individual people who could have potentially caused him to break - considering he was about to go through legal procedures and has struggled with mental health and substance abuse previously I doubt Limmy making a few comments about him would have even reached Liam lol. Bit far fetched of an accusation.
Limmy builds walls around himself, eg says he's a socialist, an ally of LGBT, man of the people to bully people that aren't like him, eg people who aren't necassarily left wing, posh people, working class white people. If you aren't in one of his labels he will bully you. eg liam payne, richard e grant

man of the people but not all people is equal.
