Though she could be surprised at how little money his family would have for ambitious investments.
yeah I imagine these as those historically wealthy families (like lots in the UK) that are property rich but cash poor, only so much you can make renting holiday homes especially with all the works old homes need. I wonder what they decide about a move to that country house, imagine for him a 2 hour commute each way every day?!
for content about the renovation? I don't get it either, it is beautiful of course, but imagine being stuck in the middle of nowhere like that all the time? especially when she has said she doesn't/can't drive. or is it that they (he) pay rent in the centre? and they wouldn't have to there?
She keeps saying they live in Firenze but his personal address is the Scandicci villa. She also mentioned last year moving to the hills because she did not want to live in the centro storico for covid reasons. (Real motive was to live there with Guido, of course. Also likely because with the lockdown they would not have seen each other for months).
I have no idea why they would ever want to move to the farmhouse so far away. 2 hours each way would be such a drain on him, and she would be stuck out there, or have to sit around Firenze all day and wait for him, which I doubt she would do. This is just another example of her living in a dreamworld, for content as you mentioned.
Brian has an Aussie accent, I think he is/was a flight attendant who lived in, or she met in, Rome, but he now lives back in Australia. She also mentioned once that he is a Patreon, I don't know if he was a Patreon before she met him. During the various lockdowns I had several binge-watching sessions of KF and also did some Googling so among all that overload I can't recall exactly where I came upon these beliefs.

I am worried now, it does seem quite wacky. I had Covid in Feb 2020 and might have imagined all of this while in a fever on the sofa glued to YouTube. I'll probably get myself in a KF rabbit hole now trying to find sources for my claims! I thought Brian seemed like a very nice guy, he might've become a Patreon being nice and wanting to support his good friend.

I have a friend from Uni days like this. She is dreading her dad dying, she inherits a title which she describes as useless and pretentious, a house with more rooms than most hospitals but only 5 are habitable and all her family debts.
It appears Guidos connection with nobility died when his grandmother married his grandfather. She was Contessa Anna Galli Tassi Bardini. She was the last surviving member of that family.
Guidos mother is english and the fact that both their engagement and marriage announcements were in The Times might mean she came from money or land too or they were just showing off.
The country estate definitely belonged to the Ghezzi's and I think but no proof yet the Florence estate was the Galli Tassi's.
I can't see Guido traveling 4 hours a day. Kylie could live in the country with a farm hand for a appassionata storia d'amore.
Guido will go down at weekends, where he will find her in a curtain fabric dress, bow in her hair and delicately scented with florals.
She will have prepared a perfectly presented meal and use a word salad of adoring words and devotion before changing into an antique lace nightie and taking him by the hand to bed. All while biting her lip and looking under her eyes a la Princess Diana. I hope she remembers to turn her camera off.
She can grow her own veg on the Florence estate, it's big enough.
I could be over reaching here or jumping off a cliff but to keep him to herself. He seems to have a close relationship with his parents.
Its easier to manipulate someone who isn't around people who aren't easy to manipulate but I don't honestly know.
She seems to be well in with the family considering they have only been together just over a year. She decorated their home for Xmas and now being so involved in the renovations.
I wouldn't even ask my in laws now after 24 years of marriage, never mind after a year of dating and I am really close to them.

Yes @Appleblossom she does seem to be in well with his family. I was thinking about that the other day, and to me it is her leech personality. She mentioned what a great artist Guido's mother is. What has Kylie been doing lately? Artsy crafts, design, etc. Guido's dad and family have managed land for years and years. There's ol' farmhand Kylie looking to "help" collect olives, dig in with shovels, haul dirt etc lol. I really do think she is a manipulative chameleon able to play various roles.
ETA: I found Brian on IG. He's brizarussell on there. I thought his partner was Italian but looks like he's also Australian and the just bought a house. And oooh yes, some photos do look like he is an airline flight attendant!

Yes he was a flight attendant for Virgin Atlantic, but he mentioned on IG he has lost his job since covid. The Sicily episode with Brian is my favorite. Kylie really did a beautiful job of capturing summer and their friendship. Also, someone mentioned that it was weird that he is a patron of hers. I follow a certain chatelaine who’s friends are all patrons as well, I think it’s a nice way to support your friend’s creative efforts, what do you guys think?
^^I don't find it weird for friends supporting friends. It makes sense. I posted upthread that ,TBH, the videos with Brian are pretty much the only ones I enjoy of hers. He's got quite the personality.

In it she mentions deferring her Uni degree in Aus bc she was studying Spanish in Spain, but then got to talking to some random guy (always a male) in the airport about how great Italy was or some such, and she decided on the spot to quit her Spanish language studies and pack up for Italy. Meh. Depending on the friend I'd probably contribute. I find it more odd paying (and sending gifts to)some rando you don't know on the internet because one's formed a weird parasocial relationship.
hmmm... i think like a one off as a present, but maybe I am too british anyway, I find giving money as a present awkward in itself.... but would you just pay a friend so they didn't have to work (realistically) while you did?
If I believed in their work, I probably would, yeah. If it was just a channel as a hobby, no.
But that reminds me, Brian captioned one of his IG pics saying Kylie worked for 72 hours straight editing some video, and we've seen her waking at 4 am, or saying she spends 60 hours a week editing. If she hasn't monetised her channel I don't see the point of the effort. And surely it can't be great for her relationship if everything they do basically is for filming, then she's hidden away on her computer.
Yea I’m sure she does stay up late but I also think she likes to lay it on thick. I’m sorry but if she is editing for as many hours as she says everyday of the week each week how does she find the time to go shopping (which has to be to the local butcher, greengrocer and florist - she thinks it’s so terrible that women never do this nowadays), do the gardening, cook meals by hand (without using an electric whisk
), spend time with her bf and their family, sew those clothes, test recipes, write a novel, exercise, even do her hair and make up and clean the house for one video a week ? She is clearly meticulous with everything she does and I’m not denying these videos are time consuming, you can see that in her work. I just can’t stand the constant complaining and whining about how hard her life is. I just don’t buy that she works those hours every week, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she did that when her friend was there knowing that he would comment on it, and would potentially get more patreons
