Does this mean she won’t be begging for money anymore or telling us how difficult her l work is ?

Or, since she was an “editor” of a third rate magazine she will no longer “marvel at the historic printing press and the concept of international newspapers being accessible all over the world” ? What a concept !

I spent a week in Portofino on a timeshare trade, just below Splendido and another week in Santa Margherita at a small B&B with fantastic views. I recall the timeshare cost about $200 for the week; 7 days, not 4 !

@Jerry right? And she still has the blurb up on her Youtube description how expensive making videos is.

Maybe this was a gift. It was a honeymoon...though not sure I'd ever spend so much a night even for that. At the end, though, it's never enough because she keeps trolling for new patreons.

I find I care less and less what she does or says. Now that we’ve figured her out, she only serves as occasional entertainment by the ignorant and shallow things she does and says !

The more I live in Italy, the wider the gap I see between her conception and actual reality. Anyone who takes her advice at face value will be rewarded with a reality shock upon arrival.

That might be punishment enough for her unthinking followers.

I’m going to spend my time and effort enjoying what’s here while attempting to avoid, or at least mitigate, the absurdities.

Day trips, I think, now with the puppy. Explored (this weekend) the beach towns and Livorno, which surprised me how big it is; where the ships cast off for Elba and Sardinia. Doing my scouting and also finding seafood restaurants, however, I am the only one who likes them !

Umm, this commenter from earlier on her Instagram apparently continued writing. It has taken a turn. At this point I find it hilarious. What the hell is that?! How did it turn 180 so fast?? It’s as if she threatened him to write words of cult like worship for compensation. Otherwise she’d delete the comment 😂 So much for the Tuscan order, he thinks she is warm, charming and great.

can we talk about arches?
I am very drawn to arch shapes. And windows, doors and jaali/mashrabiya. Anything that compels you to look through, pass through. I mull over art that needs to flow out of my fingers with plays on these. So many ideas.

I threw the bag onto the ground and sprinted off.
But did you run in nice stylish shoes?!

This reminds me of the time we merely asked the price of something in Thailand. Ended with a very angry seller. We didn't even want to buy. We didn't want to negotiate. We just wondered the cost. Curious. That was it. I learned to never ask about price ever again if you are not interested in the product. Felt terrible for misleading the man but he didn't have to get so mad!

Jerry's stories of Italy procedures, processes and inefficiencies are making my blood pressure rise, and all I'm doing is sitting on a sofa in the very consumer-comfy USA! So funny not funny. As tourists there, we got no glimpse of any of this. Except one thing. I share the story. Driving was sweat-inducing because of those darn gray speed camera boxes!! We kept our eyes peeled for them but when we got home, we got a bill from the Italian govt and apparently, we missed many boxes. I couldn't believe it. Unless, those boxes were gauging our speed before we even got the boxes in sight. Is this possible. Before I sound like a dangerous driver 1) we had to drive fast because everyone else was! 2) I worked in traffic safety for decades and don't want to speed, would rather not, and the few times I got tickets in the US I knew I was wrong, paid the price and changed my behavior. But that's not the story. Here it is: We drove from Greve-in-Chianti up to Florence, approaching from the south. There's a street, I think it might be the first street where you can turn right into the heavy tourist parking areas after approaching from the south. It has a bus lane. Apparently, there's a box to detect unsuspecting non-Italian-speaking tourists who drive in the bus lane. (At least, it was there 13 years ago when this happened.) The box tickets you as soon as you enter the block with the bus lane. Then there's another box at the opposite end of the block that tickets you before you leave the bus lane. TWO tickets. Both expensive. You WILL get two tickets because you can't go anywhere but pass the second box. Thankfully the credit card we used for the rental car expired shortly after our trip. The govt was unable to charge the card. We received the tickets and bill here at home in the US. Stupidly, maybe, I entered the number on the ticket online, to see where the heck we were caught. Now the Italian govt knew I received the tickets. I was gobsmacked to see the two boxes in the same block when you had no chance to go anywhere! Yes I agree it was wrong to drive in a bus lane. Why not put signs in several languages if the bus lane is so important?! I recall zero obvious markings that the lane was for buses. Living near large cities my whole life, I know they clearly mark bus lanes. I visited some Tuscany travel forums to get the scoop on these darn boxes and the ticketing procedures. It just seems like a scam. We did not pay the tickets. Hope I'm not on a list somewhere in Italy for the next time we visit! LOL. Or next time we'll use my husband's name!

Kylie should warn her viewers: Come to Italy and the chicken coop and pigsty, but set extra budget for the traffic tickets! Or cancel your credit card shortly after visiting, after all legitimate purchases have been paid and deserving store and restaurant owners compensated!

where i live in London there are a quite a lot of tourists adn there is this guy who has this scam where he acts all panicked, says he has been robbed and needs cash for a taxi. He is very convincing but luckily I had seen in our neighbours group about it, but he has been doing it for years with a lot of success it seems. What i find is so awful is to exploit people's kindness in this way which means that people who are genuinley in need of help won't be believed
Some of these people make an unbelievable amount of money! People have no idea.

No!!! In Venice, I walk so much, I usually wear trainers! :)

Yes, I was similar to you. It was the one and only time I engaged with a street seller. I was just very intrigued about the fake designer bags and interested to see the quality of them &c. Unsurprisingly, it was very poor. I had no intention to buy. When I was invited to make an offer I said Eu. 5 to get the guy off my back. If he'd given me the bag for that I would have left it in my hotel/apartment.

@Denise0211 @Jerry KyLie never lets up does she with her claim of being an “editor“ ?!! As if she spent her career at a national newspaper or an important publishing house when she just spent a couple of years putting out a publication for a casino to attract the high-rollers that have since sent the management to jail for fraud and corruption and the casino into bankruptcy🙄

Here are just a few lessons I’ve learned;

if you buy something, consider the money gone; returning an item will result in only a credit to spend at that store.

make sure you have a receipt or you are out of luck.

IF you have your receipt, it might not be enough, because the return policy might be only 7 days. I brought back an item that I realized was not working but was refused on this basis. No return. No credit.

I returned a fan because I thought they charged me the wrong price. Not so easy; had to involve two store clerks and a manager to resolve. I commented that this is crazy, just to return a fan; the clerk replied, Yes, I know, we live here every day.

I bought some jewelry over a year ago; she is very particular and wanted to return it. The credit is sitting in the store all this time.

Many stores close between 1 and 4 pm, restaurants open for dinner at 7 or 7:30.

We once had an order of tile that was supposed to be ready and committed by the company for our contractor specifically on a certain day. We were told it didn’t arrive. We drove out to the store, 30 minutes away, and it was closing. We saw our clerk and demanded resolution. She said, sorry, she was going home for lunch. We told her she was going to help us first, our contractor was waiting; they threatened to call the police ! (Not the first time, or last, I was threatened with the police for expecting service !)

I don't understand? What does it mean?
The way I read it, the guy is first flirting, but leads in by questioning whether her cinema is based on reality, then he makes a pun about his leg, meaning “attention”, then he goes on to being “friends”, capital F (could nean a few things), then goes in directly that they could be friends “with benefits” and we know what that means. Then a somewhat sinister turn with reference to “price”. All around creepy to me, am I misreading it ? The guy is making a play for her on her honeymoon and she keeps the post in play, doesn’t delete it.

Sorry to hear about this incident. They take the bus lanes very seriously and it can fool Italians as well. In many streets you come from the corner let’s say and as you turn you are led into the lane, you have to recognise it fast and change lanes almost as if you are in Fast and Furious in order to not get a ticket. The cameras are sensitive and they put them in a way that once you’re on the lane, there is no getting away with it. As for the highway and general roads have you tried an app called Waze? It’s a navigation app but the good thing is that it shows you where there is construction work, police, cameras and any unforeseen obstacles along the way in real time. It’s very useful though I’m not sure whether and how it works in the US.

Thank you, Jerry. That does sound sinister and disrespectful. I would delete that if I were her. After I was widowed I tried online dating which I found extremely unpleasant. I met someone at The Wallace Collection and, as it was raining, I invited him back to the lobby of my hotel off Marylebone High Street for tea and, after 45 minutes, he said 'Shall we go upstairs'. I cannot begin to say how very, very, angry and insulted I was. He was a most unattractive fellow anyway. But K is attractive and she is happy to publish photographs and videos of her body so she must receive more than her fair share of attention from these creepy types.

Such an unpleasant experience, unfortunately there are a lot of ‘dusties’, as I’ve heard them being called, out there. As for Kylie, after watching her Love parallel videos I have a hard time sympathising with her. It was almost a soft porn in certain moments. Before watching those I remember thinking that I could never have her job because I really don’t like being in front of the camera. However that is just a fact, some reality, it is neither good or bad, just is. It doesn’t mean that because I don’t like it she can’t do it, or that she is somehow worse or superficial or anything else like that. People are different basically.
Needless to say though, the Love parallel episodes got me thinking that if she gets nasty comments about her body, as awful as it is, it certainly has been provoked. I don’t wish it upon anyone, these people exist unfortunately.
This was one of the first times I thought there was something wrong. Outside of the whole story being cringey I thought that she must really like herself a lot in order to act out these ‘almost make out’ scenes with the guy. That was the first time I thought ‘Wow, she really likes attention, both from men and from the viewer, all eyes must be on her’.

How awful @PlinyinTorquay! He needs to be sent to a Siberian fish canning factory for that insult (I googled it and there is one for salmon) You are such an interesting, intelligent and sensitive person (and that's just from knowing you as a fellow Tatler) you deserve the best!💫

No wonder she left Australia..especially NSW and even more especially the regions ….people here just would not tolerate this sort of false representation….the mildest terms she would be referred to in this country are more abrasive abrasive than I care to mention

I've never been to Volterra, hopefully someday.

Yum, seafood! Nothing like it in summer.

I know exactly! And she never mentions where. 😂 Krystal or whatever it was called. Fans probably assume Vogue or Nat Geo. 🙄
