I’m not one for conspiracy theories (well, I am but I don’t usually believe them) but how on earth did she win that award? Most iconic performance up against Madonna, Britney and Christina’s and Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi?! And it was fan voted?! Nah, I’m not buying it. Couldn’t even remember it til I saw it on Twitter about 30 minutes ago.

Also, OT, but who is Chappell Roan? Saw her arrival and outfit (very cool) and the performance looked awesome til I pressed unmute and heard the most mid song I’ve ever listened to.

Yeh a lot of these fan voted things are actually decided in part by the producers. I think the peoples choice awards got in trouble for it a while ago. Maybe the fans did just get organised and voted. But seems more likely that the producers had a say as she was in attendance. Half these celebs wouldn’t attend if they weren’t assured they were winning something!

Re Chappell, I know one of her songs. But I mostly know her for how she’s struggling to deal with fame. There’s loads of commentary vids on YouTube about her calling out fans and stalkers etc.

nope! toured with vance joy in 2017, dropped by her label during the pandemic and funded her early pre album singles independently before she was signed again in 2022. works with olivia rodrigo's producer (friends with OR too) so maybe why the songs have clicked for the general public quite quickly. since she's blown up good luck babe is her only new work, anything else going viral was already on her 2023 album. great vocalist and clearly hard working, and i don't think an industry plant would be quite so vocal against the fame machine and how brutal it's being to her.

Now I’ve just seen a post of a music performance she is fully clothed but scissoring another woman on stage (???). It’s giving DESPERATE

Anything for attention and it's sad. We got her talking about her period and cussing by saying the C word....wow, how edgy. The clothes are just as bad with her wearing less and less with each new appearance.

Yeah, it was a bit too convenient. Mind you, it will likely be the last award she gets from there or anywhere else. Not sure if she decided or if it was someone else but whoever thought it was a good idea to put some of her newer stuff in the medley needs a talking to. I was not a huge fan of her earlier music but they are much better than the drivel she is releasing now.

Deleted now, but I'm not surprised he posted it. The whole arrogance and doubling down from her and her team rather than trying to course correct is something.

Katy doing her dance album but not using any dance producers and instead opting for the tired abusive past producer was such a choice.

It's bleeping tit and would have been a worse lead single than "Woman's World". It will flop even more than the other two singles.

I think you’re tripping. But I love Katy with her curves and at her Roar/California Girls best. U get artists constantly reinvent themselves to stay relevant but I don’t like this ozempic version of Katy. She looks like a trash panda kardashian.

i feel like she’s trying too hard to compete with all these other girls in the market atm when she already had secured her own niche she didn’t need to do anything like this. She didn’t need dr Luke. I think she tainted herself by having him work in her album.

Looks like it already is. It's nowhere on either Spotify or Apple's Global or USA daily charts. The other two were low but they managed to get on there.
