You would hope so but unfortunately not. Parents often ignore the fact their child is abused and continue to treat them like nothing has happened. Especially 30 years ago.
A lot of people who experience sexual abuse or sexual assaults become hypersexual meaning they will have inappropriate sex and sexual behaviours.
Its a known fact and argument against the sex work industry, majority of all female sex workers have experienced sexual abuse.
It would also explain why she's happy for Princess to be sexualised and why she is allowing strangers into her house around here children.
When someone is abused they go either two ways when they are a parent, they become hypervigilant and usually overprotective (I'm in this category) or... (Trying to think how to say this) they don't see the issue, not that they agree or want their child to be abused but that they don't know what is and what isn't appropriate behaviour. But again with the right help and support both of these issues can be resolved.

Hypersexuality isn't just having sex and lots of sex. It can be masturbating too much, watching too much porn, engaging in risky sex, being preoccupied by sexual thoughts, trying to recreate Also hyposexuality can go hand in hand with hypersexuality surprisingly.
For example being hypersexual at the beginning, so having lots of sex that you don't really want or enjoy, then you form an attachment and now you're feeling vulnerable like this person may harm you so you protect yourself by cutting that side of the relationship out. Another example is having lots of sex because that's what you feel the need to do to keep yourself safe, to make them love you ect but once you realise that they want you outside of sex, are safe then that behaviour can stop.
I'm not saying Katie is currently but she definitely has engaged in risky sex, had a lot of sex and has cheated in numerous relationships which are all signs of hypersexuality.
Alternatively maybe she just thinks if she fucks them they will stay with her.. Also how is she going to get pregnant if she doesn't have sex? Or maybe she's addicted (well definitely is currently) to opiates which kill your libido.
