True this, my cousin leads a police team that does this for child abuse cases. She never talks about her job and we don't ask questions but the evidence has to be in abundance as possible, concrete and 100% verifiable. This can take many months or even years to assemble as there is only one shot at conviction and so has to be right. She's seen seen too many cases thrown out of court because of a stupid technicality even though the rest of the evidence is overwhelming. I'm happy to wait longer if it means more certainty!It takes a really long time to gather the evidence for cohersive control, even more so when the victim is not supporting them and they will have to work much harder to find the evidence. If he is still being bailed it means CPS have not yet been asked if they will charge and the police are still collecting evidence. They will want to build as strong a case as possible so they have the best chance of prosecution.. unfortunately this takes time!
