She said she was signed off, now people are talking about getting signed off for court, absolutely ridiculous, everyone would do it, if the courts want you there it would only acceptable not to turn up if you are so sick you have to see a doctor, most mental health issues do not fall under a reasonable excuse, and people talking about her seeing a consultant, hasn’t she sent a note in already asking for six months? Lot of good it did her, courts are sceptical of alleged illness , and I am going to contradict myself here , a doctor can sign you off with a sick note of course if you are ill, Really ill, But they have been issued with guidelines, and a sick note does not bind the court, it’s a different type of being signed off to her version, I’m talking about serious illness,
You have to provide the date the medical examiner examined you
The exact nature of your ailments
If it is not self evident why your illness prevents you from attending
An indication of when you can attend court
or a date when the current certificate expires
CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THE COURT MAY FIND A MEDICAL CERTIFICATE UNSATISFACTORY
Where the certificate says the defendant is unable to attend work ( rather than court)
If you have a broken arm etc doesn’t stop you attending court
Where the defendant is certified as suffering from stress /anxiety/depression and there is no indication of the defendant recovering within a realistic timescale

As it's my comment you are referring to can you at least give it context.

I cannot rejoice or celebrate any child or children being taken from any parent, be that father or mother. I prefer education,parenting classes anything else.
I won't ever apologise for this view as I see too many adults now with mental health issues as their parents didn't get that education and support. To see posters opening champagne was distasteful for those kids.

If she were to say that her ADHD meant that she lacked capacity to take part in the process then that would have to be assessed to allow her to nominate someone to act on her behalf BUT that would impact on a lot of other areas of her life as how can she differentiate between capacity for court or capacity for day to day activities?

GPs in the UK can prescribe SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) like fluoxetine (Prozac)
The GP will often have got you on a script before you've even had your first appointment with a mental health specialist.

Yes, you’re correct. A psychologist will refer a person whose symptoms and psychological test measurers indicate PTSD, depression, ADHD etc for psychiatric opinion. Also you are correct again, a psychologist can not diagnose a condition, they also can not prescribe medication. I think GPs can prescribe antidepressants though. Psychologists can’t. Psychologists are engaged to support a person and sometimes their families with treating the symptoms of the illness/medical conditions. The NHS waitlists are very long for appointments. A private psychiatrist in London and SE typically charges £400+ per hour. A private neuropsychologist in London & SE typically charges £200 per hour. Expert witnesses charge far more per hour and each expert instructed will complete interviews with the person, a person who knows them well and liaise with other professionals involved with the individual. Neuropsychology test measures take place across two full day appointments. The psychologist will also read all relevant medical records and previous reports. An expert witness report for the court takes around 12 weeks to write from the first appointment. A neuropsychologist can be an expert witness, a psychotherapist/clinical psychologist/talking therapist opinion will not be requested to write a report to the court.

Poor little sods not even born yet and Edna will be exploiting it for daily baby diary posts, grifting freebies and advertising any pregnancy/baby product from companies daft enough to pay her. Then aunty skank will jump on the bandwagon to monetize and use Edna's pregnancy for her own publicity.
