So, I was just reading the Court Judgement and sentencing remarks in respect of Alex Reid eating porridge for the next 4-8 weeks. Anywho, he has told the court that he’s recently been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. I don’t know him personally, but from what I have seen of him on television I’m quite surprised by this diagnosis.
Yes it would appear that the diagnosis was made just before he was dragged to court for trying to scam £60k from an insurance company - funny that. Anyway, KP still owes him £25k in damages awarded to him by a court for her showing revenge porn to various people so that might help if she was made to pay.

As someone who found it really difficult to get my GP to refer me for an Aspergers assessment, even though my symptoms were obvious and I had a family history of several other close relatives on the Spectrum, I’m always a bit surprised when ‘celebs’ manage to get one so easily and conveniently. Usually just in time for some court case or scandal situation they are trying to manipulate I’ve noticed. Funny that, indeed.
My 22 year old son was diagnosed with Aspergers at the age of 4. His diagnosis also influenced the career I have today. So on both a personal and professional level I’d say I’m qualified enough to call this BS. I can see why he and KP were together for a time as they will use any tactic to evade responsibility and prosecution. Despicable.
Borrowing and claiming illnesses as your own is a very sly underhand thing to do and devalues them incrementally amongst those who actually have a diagnosis or are awaiting assessment be it cancer, eating disorders or autism+. The earlier the diagnosis the better I presume - so well done @Megan Bacon and also to @Ekathrina for getting yours finally.
