It's so sad I don't know what's wrong with people.surely the amount they would pay to get their cat neutered is nothing compared to the cost if feeding extra little mouths when kittens come along. I know exactly how you feel as I work in animal rescue. I've spent hours of my life watching traps waiting for mum a d kittens to go in, then

I know exactly how you feel. I worked in animal rescue. I've spent years of my life hiding in bushes waiting for a cat, or a mum with kittens to go in. Then brought the babies home to begin the process of socialisation, then letting them go to their forever home. Its heartbreaking, emotionally and physically exhausting, but so worth it. For every little life we help we've made a difference. And all because people cant be bothered to get their cats neutered. Too stupid to realise that the cost if feeding etc a litter of kittens will outweigh the cost of neutering. And there is financial help to do that from Cats Protection. I've walked miles and spent days putting flyers through letter boxes letting people know about this help.
God bless you for the work you do. Just know that you are making such a difference to every little one that comes to you. I'm no longer on the frontline due to health problems. Though I'm currently trying to catch a lost cat in my area so it can be returned to its owner who lives miles away

my brother recently moved to a near area,kept his kitten/cat in for 2 weeks as advised, first time it got out it went missing, came back a week later shaved and spayed. a neibour thought it was a stray and had it spayed.
