She’s horrible today. I bet Val’s refused to drive her to Costa or Aqua-aerobics or something and that’s why she’s in such a mood.



Has anyone seen her Instagram story where she’s talking about how she’s dealing with her grief for Grandad? She’s more or less saying he was a burden to her and caused her to sacrifice her friendships and free time, despite the fact she wasn’t obligated to care for him given he was merely her bowls coach.

She’d be great at being someone to talk to for the old folks. Even on the phone - there are services that do this and she mentions talking on the phone a lot.
Thing is she does kind of expect them to look after her in return. Not sure if she’d manage or have the patience talking to people with dementia.

I’ve stumbled into the Kate King cinematic universe and I’m obsessed. ‘Grandad’ creeps me the fuck out though and especially the way she acts around him. I do feel sorry for her though, she doesn’t interact with anyone her own age and has become quite bizarre because of it. Makes me sad because you can see she’s determined and confident to do things but, I think her parents have babied her so much that she’s stuck in this loop of thinking she’s one of her parents pensioner friends instead of living her life.

I was trying to find an edit someone made of Kate and came across this. It’s pretty brutal and presumably by people who bullied her in school.

I feel like therapy would really help her deal with any trauma from school and help her get over her fear of people in their 20s.

This is very sad to see. I looked at the account after seeing that and found several more similar accounts, either within the followers of this first account or within the followers of others. There are about 3-4 in total, all clearly revolving around the same purpose, namely supposed 'fan' accounts which are obviously designed for mockery and bullying, set up by Kate's then school peers. The peers in question look to have been the popular girl crowd, judging by the comments on the various posts.

For whatever negative points Kate may have, I do feel immensely sorry for her. Kids can be so cruel and clearly the mockery at school has had an impact on her. To be honest, it's probably a key part of the root cause surrounding Val/Mick's protectiveness of her and Kate's preference for OAPs.

One quick Q for the group... what happened to that 40-odd year old fella she went on a date or two with at the start of the year? Matt, I think? Seemingly vanished after just a few weeks if that?

She was moaning that he worked ‘odd hours’ (9-6) and that she never got to see him as she was too tired when he finished work.

The relationship seems to have intensified at some point last year because I watched an old video of hers a few days ago from 2021 where she just called him Henry, and that was when she already knew him for over a year. After uncovering all these past fake grandparents it's pretty likely that it was initiated by her, and being 90 years old he just went along with it because he probably couldn't be arsed not to

I second the wiki. It would be the perfect opportunity for someone to write an essay where they psychoanalyse one of her grocery hauls. There’s so much lore to this whole saga rendering it difficult to keep track of at times. Also, some people have been onboard H.M.S Kate/Katie King longer than others considering how long she’s been present on social media so they may be more knowledgeable on all things Kate, therefore will be able to share their knowledge on Kate via the wiki.

Yeah. They're called John and Pauline. Kate failed GCSE Maths like six times so John offered to tutor her. She got quite close to them and called them her "church grandparents". At some point things turned sour and in either a live or a Q&A video she accused them of trying to turn her against her parents. I read on Twitter that Val and Mick used to make Kate walk to church despite her disability and John (I think it was him, hopefully I haven't confused this story with someone else) gave her a walking stick to make it easier for her and that was one of the things they didn't like. So her parents probably made her dislike them, and she stopped speaking to them. Can't remember any more details beyond that sadly.

They probably tried to help her get a job and actually do something with her life. The lazy bint would not have taken kindly to that.
