My Daughter is nearly 22 ( duck,I’m old) and what I treasure now is the cards,pics that she has made over the years. I used to love to receive a home made card & a bunch of spring flowers for Mother’s Day.
I would have died if I’d got up on Mother’s Day to a balloon display!
If you’re secure in your relationship with your partner & kids you don’t need all this OTT shite.

This i would be fuming if I woke upto all those tacky balloons rammed into my kitchen that I would eventually have to burst and fill my bin up with. She’s so materialistic it makes me sick.
My 2 year old came barging into my room at 6.30am with a bunch of flowers and chocolates screaming “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!” (Happy Mother’s Day must have been a struggle for her to say ) and it has made me giggle all day thinking about it. And money can’t buy that memory that will stay with me forever now

Well, as we thought the balloon fairies have visited our Truff and blessed her with a delightfully tacky display. Bork.

speaks volumes that she’s not posted anything genuine about the day. No home made card or ounce of thoughtfulness. Just staged to duck and a bit sad really, if you think just cos you have an arch of balloons and some cupcakes that your days eclipsed any of ours, you’d be very much mistaken love.
