The crazy in this case just keeps going . . . . . what are the chances Boston Police Commissioner Cox didn't know any of this was going on? Wow, no words!
“Your name came up during the recent Karen Read trial. You got a visit from Officer Kelly Dever. The defense implied you influenced her testimony. Do you want to respond to that?” Cox was asked.
Cox quickly answered, “I have nothing to do with Karen Read. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even know this person was associated with the Karen Read case.
“I have an organization full of over 3,000 people, and we support all our folks. The reality is that I get information passed on, whether those people are high or low, and I encourage everyone,” Cox continued. “If you want to work here and you belong here, then we’re going to encourage you. I have no idea what they’re talking about with Karen Read. I had nothing to do with Karen Read, no discussion about Karen Read.”
Cox was then asked, “Did you tell Officer Dever to do the right thing?”
“I didn’t know she was even associated with that case,” Cox answered. “I was struck like, ‘What do I have to do with the Karen Read case?’ I’ve never said those words together. So, the fact is it’s much to do about nothing.””

That was weird! One of them is lying. Did you see AJ’s letter to Commissioner Cox?
Maybe Dever had another false memory about meeting with the comish?
None of it makes sense, I think they're both lying.
Dever gave her testimony to the FBI in August 2023. When Dever testified in Trial 2, she says it's a false memory caused by media coverage - the sally port video wasn't seen until June 2024 so how could it have caused a false memory almost a year earlier.
Also the way Cox seemed to not give a semblance of a duck about John O'Keefe - he was a BPD officer, he should know all about him.
IMO Dever told the truth to the FBI, got hauled in to Cox's office and pressured to change her testimony as it implicated Berkowitz & Higgins, Cox got caught like a deer in the headlights and lied to save his skin.

A woman who served on the grand jury as part of the high-profile investigation into Karen Read -- who was acquitted of murder charges last month in the death of her boyfriend -- agreed to plead guilty to a federal charge she leaked information from the secret proceeding, according to a court document filed Tuesday.
Jessica Leslie agreed to plead guilty to a charge of criminal contempt that accused her of willfully disobeying court rules against disclosure of grand jury information.
Leslie disclosed "the names of various witnesses appearing before the grand jury and the substance of their testimony and other evidence presented to the grand jury, all while said information was under seal and not subject to disclosure," federal prosecutors said.
While the charging document did not specify that Leslie was a grand juror in the Read case, sources confirmed the case to ABC News.
Read was originally indicted by a Boston grand jury in June 2022 in the death of her police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe. Prosecutors alleged Read hit O'Keefe with her car outside the home of a fellow police officer after a night of heavy drinking in January 2022 and then left him to die there during a major blizzard.
The first trial ended in a mistrial last year after the jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict.
In a second trial that ended last month, Read was found not guilty of the most serious charges against her -- murder, manslaughter and leaving the scene after an accident. She was convicted of operating under the influence of liquor and sentenced to one year of probation.
Leslie agreed to a sentence of incarceration for one day, deemed served, and 24 months of supervised release, court records said.
A plea hearing was not immediately scheduled.
Federal prosecutors did not say how they learned Leslie had disclosed secret grand jury information, but sources said authorities had been monitoring social media accounts and other communications during a case that received widespread attention.

Is it clear she leaked about the KR case? I've heard that she was caught leaking info related to CDL.

I saw theories that she was leaking info from the KR grand jury to Morrissey / Morrissey’s office.
The AKR people think it was leaks to the defence and that it’ll affect the verdict
It was a scandal where state troopers were alleged to have accepted bribes for commercial driving licences for people who had previously been denied them.

Apparently Jurors on grand juries sit for quite a while on numerous cases so whilst she sat on the Read grand jury doesn't mean the info was leaked on that case.
More BS from Morrissey, Proctor’s iCloud data was ordered to be destroyed 30 days post verdict. This wasn’t divulged until a day before and the data is relevant to other cases. Cosgrove has been dragging his feet on providing discovery to Mark Bederow & Tim Bradl including sending “5000” pages of discovery, 4000 of which were blank. Now the dragging his feet on production makes you go hmmm as if they were biding time for the destruction order to kick in.

Alan was asked this morning on a radio show if the civil trial was going to be streamed, he said he wasn't sure and no one had requested it. Wonder if CourtTV will request.
