Wireless in is Finsbury Park in North London, it’s the vicinity to huge Jewish populations and communities like Muswell Hill, Finchley and St John’s Wood.

I think there's a difference here. One guy with Tourettes was at a place where he said something unexpected and involuntary where they were celebrating awards. Whereas Kanye was being paid a lot of money when he's already been incredibly insensitive and unstable on an international level at a time where anti Jew sentiment is rife. Two very different scenarios. Kanye should not have been booked for this and is repeatedly given a huge platform when he's already caused a lot of harm. The organisers knew the controversy of his views and still chose money over sensitivity. Many other talented acts could have been chosen instead.
Why did Wireless book him in the first place? I find the organisers motives in this to be questionable.
I am relieved that he won’t be performing - I feel that the correct decision was made (for once).

That's the real question, why is anyone booking him anywhere, for anything? Whether we accept his mental health issues or not, he doesn't need a platform, more attention, and further help spreading his nonsense.

None of the other European countries he's performing at for this summer tour have banned him, as far as I'm aware. It's only the UK media that turned this into a huge story and made it the priority of Keir Starmer who is puppet on a string and should be dealing with the million and one other more important issues.

If he had stood by his comments then it would have been the right thing to ban him, but he took out that ad to say sorry and performed recently to say lets put that all behind us.

We've gone so woke that actual protected characteristics (mental illness) are no longer protected, and apologies no longer count for anything, which I think sets a very dangerous precedent. I've got first hand experience with someone with bipolar disorder and there is no choice in what they're doing or saying whilst in a manic episode. It's been a repeated cycle with Kanye because he believes he can't write music whilst medicated so gets frustrated and comes off his meds and then has another episode.
I know many people with MH challenges, some medicated, some not.
how does it explain manufacturing swastika tshirts and selling them on a website, wearing them in public? that is a long drawn out process.
or writing and recording a track ‘Heil Hitler’, also a long drawn out process.

He doesn't have "mental health challenges" he has bipolar disorder. You've clearly never been around someone with it or experienced a manic episode which is fine, but if you had you'd understand. It causes actual psychosis... It's not like depression whereby you can take an SSRI once a day and feel brighter...
I'm no expert but can't a manic episode last months? Long enough to release a tshirt.

I am diagnosed with bi-polar so you never which personality will come out. I am Jekyl and Hyde often but when I am up and manic I still don't go all Hilter is God and duck the Jews (hybrid Jew here) but I can be nasty Octopus or talking to the wallpaper happy.
To be clear, I don't think his bipolar disorder completely explains his personality or behaviour as I do also believe he's an egotistical, power hungry idiot but I really struggle with "well an apology means nothing" when someone has a condition that causes psychosis and think it sets a very dangerous precedent

If Kanye West is making the decision to not take medication for his bipolar disorder - as it affects his “creativity”, he is making that decision whilst he has full capacity. Knowing full well, that his behaviour whilst unmedicated will then cause harm to others.
Bipolar disorder is not an uncommon condition. Whilst psychosis can be part of the condition - it can’t be used as a blanket excuse for this man’s behaviour.
Whilst people can become very unwell with BP (usually when it is not clinically managed), there are countless people with the condition who are holding responsible jobs, caring for their families and taking responsibility for their actions.
I am not doubting that he has had periods of being very unwell, but I am questioning his responsibility in managing his condition and also suspect much of his behaviour is based on his own beliefs and character.
If his offensive behaviour is all down to his mental condition - and to allow him to “perform” at Wireless, would we have to sit and wait to discover if he has decided to take his medication or not?
