Even if his anti-semitism was simply fuelled by psychosis/bipolar/some other mental episode, it cannot and should not be condoned and he does not deserve a public platform anymore. Jewish people are genuinely afraid to exist in society, they face increasing hostility, threats of violence and attacks, every single day. If he were to apologise and society accepted that apology, what a slap in the face to the Jewish community. I'm getting a bit sick of people simply saying he can't help himself. He is one of the richest, (or was until he lost vast swathes of sponsorship deals), most famous people on the planet. He has a huge influence and people who look up to him. I live with someone with bipolar and it's bleeping horrible, but he takes his meds and doesn't post offensive, inflammatory material on social media.
If he were to apologise, donate his fee to Wireless to World Jewish Relief (or similar), take a year out, and book himself in for psychiatric treatment, vowing to return to the public eye only when he is addressing his issues, then and only then, should we consider some sort of return to the fold. This will never happen of course; he will carry on parading his naked wife in the streets, parroting disgusting racial slurs and acting like the total bleeping bellend that he actually is.
Oh, and there is no comparison to the John Davidson Bafta fiasco. The fault of that is entirely on the BBC for allowing it to remain in the footage, he genuinely apologised and tics and tremors are not easily controlled. It is very easy NOT to post anti-semitic rhetoric online, particularly when you have a huge team working with you and unlimited finances.
