Since there is a bit of lull in the thread, I'll post a personal experience. I first saw JoJo on Kyle's channel in February, 2019, and after seeing him make a few appearances there, I finally looked up JoJo's channel and started watching that. He quickly became my favorite YouTuber. He seemed like a nice and interesting person.
When I visited WDW in June of that year, I hoped I would run into him there while he was working as a custodian. I did meet him in Liberty Square and we talked briefly. After that encounter, I felt like doing something to support the channel, and I sent a small amount of cash to him with the stipulation that it be used for a mukbang video with a friend. It seemed like a fun thing to do, to sponsor the creation of a video for the channel.
I don't know if it was a glitch, but for some reason, I got like a dozen or more thank you emails from JoJo for the donation. I thought, wow, this guy is really appreciative. Shortly thereafter, he made the video in which he bought a giant Mickey Mouse Rice Krispies treat to do the mukbang with. Not exactly what I expected, using it for a Rice Krispies treat instead of a meal, but it was okay. Listening to them converse, it's interesting to see the dynamics of Kyle and JoJo's relationship at the time. I got a shout-out at the 9:45 mark, and I got my money's worth sharing the video with family and co-workers.
For me, this is from the Before period. Before I started to see issues. I'll get into that here in the future. I wish the current JoJo were more like he was during his DCP.
