I wonder if there will be more sensory friendly cruises available at some point?
Yeah, I could see it being way too stimulating for a lot of kids. I even thought maybe Kyle had gotten overstimulated in his video, and he got the Diet Coke version.

I hate that I enjoyed JoJo's videos.

I just watched Taya's vlogs for it and her Day 2 is one of the ones I've liked the most. Really cool that she brought her Dad as her guest!

I can definitely see why Disney invited a lot of TikTok influencers for the full 2-day experience, they could tell which ones are able to catch on quick into the story while a lot of vloggers aren't nearly as intuitive.

True although I wonder if tiktok is the right audience as it tends to be younger. Star wars on the whole tends to appeal to the older fan, and they would definitely be the ones who can afford the price. There have been articles saying that one issue disney maybe having with star wars in general is the brand doesn't appeal to new generations like marvel does, and the older ones who love star wars don't like the directions disney have gone with it which is why star wars has been under performing

I haven't watched Taya's video, but of the ones I have seen, JoJo actually did the best job of showing why if this was something you were inclined towards, it was worth the money. He seemed to get into the role playing aspect of it right away, and did a good job of showing just how much was going on at once.

It's JoJo, so who the hell knows, but he did seem to be enjoying himself, and, like Francis, not just because of the freebie. A bunch of the cast seemed legitimately really good at improv. JoJo's interaction with the guy he'd been talking to who was turning in Chewbacca felt surprisingly organic. I've always been really impressed with the skills of the face characters at Disneyland, and this reminded me a lot of that.

It wasn't so good of a sales job as to have me forking over my credit card, but I do understand why someone would. Even if you feel no particular attachment to this era of Star Wars, I have to admire the level of detail.

Imagine paying $5000 and you still can't go on Rise of the Resistance?

I'm actually really impressed by the improv skills of the actors playing the Halcyon characters.

Should this not survive, it won't be from lack of trying on their part.

And honestly, the hologram of Yoda is seriously impressive.

I saw last month that JoJo had changed his Patreon tiers. He removed the promise of monthly personal videos for each person in the $30 tier and replaced it with just one video each month for the whole tier. He dropped the $100 tier and kept the $200 tier. There had been one person at the $100 tier and now there is one person on the $200 tier, so I assume the person at $100 upgraded to $200. However, the benefit of spending 4 hours in the park with JoJo and a dinner together was dropped. The only benefit now for the $200 tier is "Personal Zoom Calls scheduled around you." That would be a kick in the teeth if one subscribed to the $200 tier and JoJo didn't deliver the scheduled calls, but if one is giving $2400 a year, maybe they have enough money to throw away that they don't care about getting what they were promised in exchange.
In January, it looked like JoJo had turned over a new leaf. From what I could tell, he posted four times on Patreon during that month, including posting the promised video for his $30 tier. However, February saw the return of the regular JoJo. Although he did post some temporary Lens videos there (similar to Instagram Stories), there were no regular posts and no video posted for the $30 tier. To be clear, when he says that his patrons on Patreon mean the world to him, he means at best that their money means something to him, but the people and his obligations obviously don’t.

His free videos are already painful enough to watch for more than 2 minutes, why would anyone pay $30 for more suffering?

Not surprised that he's doing nothing on Patreon though, he can't even commit to posting on YouTube consistently.

Have you ever noticed how frequently JoJo says he cries about something at Disney? WTF is up with that?

Emotional regulation of a toddler....
Agreed, but he doesn't just say it aloud a lot, he states it in the titles of his vlogs a lot too. Like he's trying to convince his fans that he's just a sweet, sensitive guy.

Grade A clickbait.

Oh, I hadn't seen the title of today's video. I will be generous and sat that I did think Taya was being honest with her reaction to the video from yesterday.

If he was actually able to get the tears in his eyes, I'd buy it a bit more.

HOLY tit WAS THAT THE CRINGIEST THING I'VE SEEN IN AWHILE. :ROFLMAO:

Skipped through most of it because now its everything I've seen, but starting at 48:40! Really helping Disney out giving his genuine reaction and sad piano background music!

Also pro-tip, back up from the camera when its on you, nobody wants to see your drool.

I've skipped his two most recent vlogs. Seeing Taya in the thumbnail was enough for me to pass on one of them. She's way too cool for me. 🤙

I automatically passed on today's vlog as soon as I saw the thumbnail and title. Watching him emote badly gives me the sads.

The worst part is, I honestly do think he enjoyed himself. And I know, who wouldn't if someone else was paying, but he did legitimately seem to be into it, and whatever this says about me, I had actually enjoyed him getting to engage with all this stuff. Lord knows, I probably never will.

And then he crapped all over that by the OTT cringe at the end. Even if everything leading up to it was fake--and I don't think it all was--he'd have pulled it off if someone had told him that less is more.

He's had a full week, and opportunity to see what other vlogs are out there and how people are reacting on them, to just cut that part out and add an actual genuine take. What a moron, how did DCP even hire him in the first place!?

Okay, I skipped to the end and watched it. That really was OTT.

And if he was weird crying while sitting in a Halcyon bleeper, then who the hell was playing the piano accompaniment? Ouannii?

He has a real engagement/viewership problem on YouTube. His views are ridiculously low for someone with 177k subscribers.

I've pondered the crying situation in the past. While it could be that he explicitly calls attention to it in various video titles because he believes it will increase views, it also seems like it's part of some catharsis related to his experiences as a youth compared to now and his fulfillment of a childhood dream. My main takeaway from it though is that he's almost always only crying about himself, not about others. The two times I can think of when he was crying not about himself was when he saw Avengers: Endgame and Toy Story 4, but maybe he found something in the movies he could relate to himself and then cried about that.

Grade A clickbait.

It's an odd thing, I don't think I have ever seen a tear actually roll down his cheek. His eyes water, but it doesn't seem to roll out.

I only watched the Boyfriend Experience through the lens of JoJo and Francis, although I might take a look at The Dis' videos since they state they didn't review, but in the snippets of Denny that JoJo caught, she looked like she was enjoying herself. So, the people who I really saw--JoJo, Taya, Peter and Kitra; Francis wasn't as comprehensive--seemed to all be into it and having fun.

JoJo did a GREAT job of selling the experience, but ruined all of it by the fake breakdown.
