Yesterday's radio show, I did lots of fast-forwarding.

Didn't bother with most of the segment promo for her Notting Hill facialist, GOB was at pains to point out that she pays her way there.

There was a later segment about audience etiquette in theatres, GOB again gave her snobby old bag point of view about how people turn up badly dressed to the theatre, carrying backpacks. One of the contributors, an academic, said it was the the upper classes who put dress codes in place to keep the working classes away. Did GOB even realise this is exactly what she is doing? Not very on-brand for our free-n-easy-breezy-old-hippy.

Living in her W1 media bubble she has no understading that many working people need to be out their door at 6.30am for a full working day, nowhere to store a change of clothes if hot-desking or working at various sites, then lucky to get away to the West End for showtime, carrying their laptop to their seat because they can't leave it in the cloakroom. "Theatre supporter" Jo Good thinks if you can't pop back to your nearby flat to freshen up and pick up an evening bag you should keep your money in your pocket and not buy a ticket to a West End show.
Years ago myself and a friend got last minute tickets to a Friday Night show after we’d been traipsing around all day at Fashion Week ‘tents’ courtesy of a bargain offer from some magazine. We had arrived in London that morning, were knackered after the busy day and really chuffed to get the great seats. Lots of tourists don’t pack glam clothes to wear to the the theatre. Jo would have been horrified by us! Think I was wearing flip flops …..

From last night's radio show: GOB is going Austria after all, she's leaving on Thursday. She will do yoga but not ski or toboggan. She didn't want to ask Anna to mind Myrtle as she knows she's very busy at the moment. This is a change of approach since her trip to Majorca, when she'd simply presumed Anna would dog-sit so didn't bother asking her ahead of time, it ended up that obliging Anna took Myrtle, but said she would bring her on a UK trip she had planned.

Big reveal is that producer Mel has offered to mind Myrtle! She's going home with him after the show tonight.

Poor Old Myrtle, nothing but click bait for Jo.

Before anyone goes down my neck, I do think Jo loves Myrtle, however, the poor dog should not be left alone in a tiny shoebox flat...

I'd love for Myrtle to remain with Mutti.

Nice idea, the garden would be lovely for her, but of course poor Mutti would be unable to care for her, and I'm sure Jo has said her brother is not such a dog fan.

Myrtle will be on her own for a quite while when staying with Mel, they've said he lives on his own, he seems to always be at the station producing shows other than GOB's, and lives further away in north London, perhaps he has some time off during the period GOB is away. She said she told Mel to "call Anna" if there are any problems.

MAM has an ad for skincare on Instagram- think it was Paula’s Choice, didn’t linger. Features that young actor dude she sees occasionally.

Just looked, people saying they both have fabulous skin 😂

He might and MAM may have done years ago. Certainly not now. Why do people lie. If anything her skin is in a desperate state.

That young actor will have good skin because he’s er, young!

Didn’t watch it, or read comments, but maybe he is getting his own channel and she is helping him?

Jim Davis was in for GOB last night, he said she's OK but just dealing with a couple of bits and bobs, it's not for him to say, but she's an open book so will probably tell all when she's back.

I'm a big fan of Jim, he has such a perfect tone. He dealt well with a couple of flaky sounding early callers, I wonder if they'd have got on air if GOB had been on, or do only her regular cohort of superfans get through, the ones who can be relied upon to talk about her vlogs and give compliments.

Oh I really like him too and wish he had a regular programme on there.

I’m so appalled and annoyed I have to write a post. I thought Jo had been unwell or something due to her asthma the last few days, as she was a bit breathy on Monday, so I had a bit of sympathy hoping she was alright, and suspecting she would miss her flight today. Obviously she’s been off for 3 nights (yet again) then I’ve just seen on instagram she was filming yesterday for that bloody Sheerluxe crap thing yesterday looking fine and dandy! I’m sick to the back teeth of her now picking and choosing when she wishes to come into work for 3 hours a night 4 days a week. Absolutely sick of it. She wouldn’t know a real days work if it bit her on the ass! Sack her, drop her and leave her one day a week on Sunday talking about dogs and what to do if you split a toenail!

Presumably it is a mutual agreement at the station though. She is on last knockings, she has to find another income stream. Her employers know that, they seem to be facilitating her finding something new.

So funny that she thinks she's a rebel and renegade, a straight-talker who says what ever she wants the on BBC, coughs, promotes her friends, her socials and her commercial partners, shows up when she wants - yet is so desperate to be part of the Sheerluxe gang she'll drop everything for them, do their presentations to script, yes ma'am, no ma'am, she'll even research and practice pronunciations, none of which she bothers with on the radio. Keeps saying that the SL offices are her happy place, she loves being there, as if she wants a full time role, when she's only hired to present a small part of their output, their nod to including the older viewer. I think they chose her because she looks much older than her years, a way of including the wealthy eldery without hiring an actual 80 something.

Her asthma is a constant topic. When she was given a couple of freebie goes in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber it was a miracle, her asthma was gone! But handy to bring back as the regular poor-me topic. If I want an eldery person telling me about their health issues I'll stand in the Post Office queue.

Do we think agent Nigel is busy punting GOB for Steve Allen's vacant slot? Or are we a step closer to the dream of the two old radio narcs being free to do Marigold.

Man enough to admit I was wrong on my post the other day, the Sheerluxe thing was clearly prerecorded. This weeks vlog shows Myrtle was quite unwell hence no show for the radio. Fair enough. Though if she didn’t take so much time off generally, I wouldn’t have complained. Good grief!

Did anyone else check in with Suzi Grant this morning (Sunday 26 Feb) - aka Alternative Ageing? She was in London town (as they say) and said how she'd been in touch with Jo and they were trying to arrange a meetup. Unfortunately, she said, Jo wasn't available, but Suzi went to Marylebone anyway and visited a couple of her favourite dress shops there. Jo didn't mention Suzi in her vlog today. What do you reckon, WILL they meet up? I'd love to see it but am not holding my breath. For anyone who doesn't know Suzi, she's a 70-something ex-BBC type, also into fashion. How she has so few subscribers, compared to MAM, I've no idea, because she's delightful. Plus she trained as a nutritional therapist so knows and cares about healthy eating and all that!
