One of the most upsetting things about all of this is that no one - not one person - within the White House, the FBI and whichever other agencies are involved in the collection of information and investigation is willing to stand up and say hang on, this isn’t right and we going to make arrests.

Wendy has form, for being bonkers. I read, a few years back that she was trying to set up private meetings with Blair, with him being annoyed by it - as she was giving the impression that is was Murdoch he would be meeting.

Not concrete enough to get a conviction doesn't mean much when it comes down to one person's word against another, involving something that happened behind closed doors.
I agree the conspiracy theorists are going a little overboard, but I do think it interesting how many celebs on that list are ones with complicated/non-standard private lives, and I include CB and ldC on that.
With regards to SH, a male friend of mine was a PhD student of his and laughs about how they always had to keep an eye on the female undergrads as SH seemed to always be having 'muscle spasms' (ie groping them) when he was next to them. It was always blamed on his MND...

I’ve not followed this from the start, I’ve watched a few new pieces and read a few headlines and wow, just wow. How on Earth does this actually happen? I like to keep a bit of naivety otherwise my head would explode, but Jesus, how many people are involved here!!?
On a more flippant note- how does this type of thing evolve? Like with any criminal partners, how do these conversations start whereby you’re agreeing to rape children and murder babies or all the other heinous shit they’ve been doing? And how was there not one person at the very beginning of it all, saying something, when there were less powerful people involved? How did they prove they were depraved enough? I just find it all absolutely compelling! I wish they’d stop drip feeding it all though, as if it’s an entertaining series.

That Black Book has been out for awhile - I wouldn’t say that someone is guilty of something because Jeffrey has their contact details. He could have got them from elsewhere. And again some people have been named because they attended a fundraiser or party by Epstein which doesn’t necessarily mean they are guilty of being part of his sex ring.

Actually it doesn’t mean she had contact with him. It means her name came up in the deposition. Without knowing the context there is no more inference to draw at this point. It could have been “we were in the restaurant and Cate Blanchett was on the other side of the room”. Or “Jeffrey said he wanted to see the Cate Blanchett movie”. Or any number of things.

Jeffrey Epstein was academically intelligent when it came to numbers (he skipped two grades) which helped him get a job in finance and progress his wealth and connections there. He was also very manipulative and charismatic. It also doesn’t help that most people don’t see 14, 15, 16, 17 year old girls as children, especially when it comes to sexual exploitation and it’s even worse when those girls are from poor social backgrounds or have no one who cares about them. Those emails Woody Allen’s daughterwife sent backs that up. And the really young girls, ages 13 and under he probably only let a few select people know and they probably had the same inclinations as him.
He targeted poor, vulnerable girls who he knew didn’t have anyone to care for them or their families didn’t have the money to fight him. There was an email saying they have enough girls in need of money they could use against someone who was speaking out against them.

This is nonsense really. Sorry for being caught out is all that it's about. Monarchies put themselves in positions and think that they are better or more elevated than other people - it makes them think that they can get away with vile things (and it you want to elevate yourself as being above other people it is vile to be friends with someone like Epstein)

The sceptic in me fears they are doing this to make it look like they are doing something about it and nothing will come of the worse stuff. Charge him on lesser charges to appease the public maybe. I am cynical in my old age though
