I think its an ego thing more than anything with him - like getting off on the idea of being able to 'turn' someone or being an 'exception'. (Although obviously sexuality doesn't work like that) I think with his 'fame' as well, he probably thinks even straight guys would be attracted to him.

When this ''drama'' is all said and done shouldn't EVERY PENNY EARNED be donated to charity? I know the beauty community as a whole are a bunch of greedy snakes but the subscribers, ad revenue and additional vitamin sells where all earned in a dishonest and misleading way. I still can't believe James Charles DIDN'T take legal action against both parties. I believe he has a really good case against Jeffree Star for Slander! Tati placing the original video on private speaks volumes to me.

If what James has done is true, then it is really appalling but there is something about Tati that rubs me the wrong way. She is a 37 year old woman crying about a teenage boy. She paid and flew him out when he was only 17 to do her makeup and she was in a position of power as she had a career and followers and James was relatively unknown then. If the genders where reversed and it was a man flying out a teen girl and promising big brand deals and lots of money it would be creepy. I can believe that James has made mistakes and preyed on straight men as that is what the evidence shows but Tati still did some questionable things, no matter how nice her intentions where.

Cancel culture is truly toxic, I dislike that people have started doing that. To think one word out of line and suddenly you as a person needs to be 'cancelled' one tweet from 6 years ago and your career is ended. That's nothing to do with Pewdiepie, just about the cancelled comment. Jeffree Starr was horribly racist but everyone buys his makeup, Shane Dawson did blackface and was racist but it's okay because he "apologised" and "grew up". Why do some people get a pass on being cancelled but others don't for doing the same thing?

Also, I'm not here for cancel culture because I do believe in personal growth just with Felix he has time AND time again fcked up.

Wow. This is (thankfully) the only comment I’ve seen of this nature.
This disturbs me more than anything, that literally any time someone does a nice thing or helps someone out, there might be a seedy, dark reason behind it.
She is not “crying about a teenage boy” I think that’s very clear.
She didn’t “promise him big brand deals” where on earth did you get this information? Or “lots of money”
Her husband helped him negotiate a new deal with his management and Tati helped him (as a friend) to get exposure.
If helping a young kid get his foot in the door of the beauty industry is “questionable” I’ve lost all faith in humanity.
Whatever side you land on with these two implying something like this is at play ain’t cool just my opinion no hate.
I also think Tati struggling to conceive might have made it all the more painful, because she did see him like a son in some ways, in my opinion anyway.

I totally agree, and agree with the comments about being a mentor to younger peers. I’m currently acting as a mentor to a student and I would literally help them in any way if it means they succeed. I do that because I care, and they have the potential to be amazing.

I love Tati, her videos helped me a lot when I was in and out of surgery last year. It felt like a friend talking to me. I agree what she has done is the right thing and you know that deep down, it’s hurt her to come this far and “cancel” James. I would like to think she’s just as heartbroken as he is.
