Poor Carys though saying she barely has time for a cup of tea everyday 😱

Shame we know that's bs as they post several hours of them doing duck all vlog footage each week and Carys posts everything remotely interesting and by interesting I mean also boring and pointless to her Instagram stories...đŸ€„đŸ€„đŸ€„

I saw on tik tok a guy devastated because he lost his wife to pre eclampsia, it was so sad to watch and he talks about how he wishes people would raise awareness of it.
So i got angry at carys again
She has this huge platform and that happened to her and she basically brushed it under the carpet and acted like it was just a "oh well we couldn't have our home birth because of this"
She could have done a full video alone about it. Talked about all her symptoms. Talked about why it could happen. What checks they do throughout pregnancy. What you should look out for etc.
Instead she just kept saying it was a positive birth experience to try and keep up this happy image

Isn’t it ironic all these influencers travelling to London to see a tongue tie specialist #gifted
Midwives and dr's automatically check for tongue tie within the first few days of birth....as it can impede latching on during breast feeding.....

They do but not every tongue tie is snipped, they score it on the hazelbaker scale for appearance and function and only intervene if necessary. Unfortunately only those trained know to do this and often midwives who aren't trained will make a snap decision. My firstborn was severely tongue tied but because he could breastfeed I was told there would be no problem by hospital midwives. Fast forward to six months and weaning time and he had absolutely no movement on his tongue meaning he couldn't manipulate food. When a tongue tie specialist looked at it she could not believe that he managed to thrive when breastfed as the severity of it would usually mean even a bottle fed baby would have had to have it snipped. With my second born we fast tracked straight to the specialist who said basically he was exactly the same and it was my aggressive let down which meant all they needed to do was swallow, he was snipped at two weeks. Sometimes if the tongue tie very far back and tethers the tongue tightly it can be difficult to snip though and rather than a local lactation specialist doing it they will refer to a specialist doctor to do it. Both my babies were done locally as it was an obvious tongue tie. My friends baby had to be taken to London though as the specialists wanted it done due to how far back it was. Perhaps this has happened to carys.

FFS Have they ever heard of bibs? Honestly never known anyone to just leave their baby to get covered in food. What a waste of time washing everything/ruined clothing. I have a 7 month old and wouldn’t dream of not putting a bib on him when having food.
Waiting for one to be gifted no doubt!

So
about 9 stories with more text than most Harry Potters books. You’d think Amber was on her last legs with the drama Cary’s was banging on about. I wondered if she’d survive

.

..but no no. She’s OK, the kid just had tongue tie. You know, like 1 in 3 of all babies are born with.

Why does this girl make EVERYTHING such a huge drama. God forbid something bad ever happened as she’d not cope.

Sorry but it’s just pathetic from her. The craving for attention, it’s so tiresome.

As annoying as she is I am glad she is bringing awareness of getting tongue ties diagnosed and sorted out later than what is considered normal!

I sympathise with Amber however as always a lot of waffle from Carys. Most striking - she has two GP parents and never has mentioned the symptoms Amber has had to them? Even when she said the HV mentioned that Amber could have a tongue tie - if that was me I would question whether this needed further action/a second option especially for my baby.

There’s just something that doesn’t add up IMO here.

I agree and for someone who's done a thousand courses about everything baby related you'd think she'd know. Especially looking at those photos, Amber's tie is really really obvious. Guess it would detract from the perfect baby image.

If she’s gonna write so much about tongue tie I wish she would at least learn that it’s not ‘tounge’

also, Carys posting in stories that she noticed Amber doesn't poke her tongue out when both she and James have uploaded photos of Amber doing just that? It's so not important stall so why lie!?

Hey guys, just wanted to remind you that you are enough. 😐

and if you don’t feel like enough diagnose yourself with an illness,
thyroid issues
.
SAD
. take a pick and use it as an excuse 😐

Also blame your baby (yes the perfect one, but for now it’s not perfect, this isn’t a #mamalife post it’s a #poorme post) for why you haven’t got a SECOND in between doing duck all to even grab yourself a visit to the toilet.

You are enough.
I am enough.

HELLO, HELLO

I thought exactly the same.
TT would be one of the first things looked at by a breast feeding specialist. Problems with breast feeding and that’s the go-to to be discounted. They hired specialists, did courses, have medics in the family, apparently read extensively, these are not two people that don’t have access to resources that would identify a TT or even make them think about it.
I highly, highly doubt it was only mentioned once in passing by the feeding specialist.

I wonder if they decided to ‘watch and wait’ as many do and don’t want to admit it for fear of being seen as ‘making her suffer’ now they realise it had more impact than they thought?

I’m glad they got it sorted and wouldn’t hold them accountable fo ‘suffering’ or anything like that but do wonder if their insistence they know it all and everything is fiiiiiinnnnneeeee and perfect is the reason this wasn’t addressed sooner.

Carys lied about everything going well in the breast feeding department, implied Amber slept longer than she did. Real shame she’s so insistent that ‘you’re enough’ but can’t be honest about any troubles with baby adding to the crappy feeling for mums that their baby doesn’t match up. she has a platform for honest and to make Mum’s feel better but adds to the insecurity.
She’s transferred the ‘perfect’ image away from herself and onto Amber.

Wow, sorry that was long 😂 I get annoyed with this #mumlife #perfect bullshit

Why does she go into every little detail about things with Amber on the internet! Does she not have friends or anyone to talk to about these things? Why go into a detailed paragraph on your babies tongue tie, LITERALLY no-one gives a tit

I’m guilty of letting mine eat without a Bib sometimes I have always regretted the clean up though 😂

yep. She also said the only cure is Birth which is simply not true. Preeclampsia can develop all the way up to labour and up to a couple of months after having baby. She’s a moron.
