I’m happy to go down conspiracy theory holes and say that maybe they told us they were going skiing, but the kids always knew they were just going ‘away’ and that Freddie’s grumpy face is just because he has to spend time with Fakey 
Maybe Soph got in her ski trip as she knew she wasn’t going any other time? Or could all be true that they didn’t realise about the passport- in which case, why not just go home, rearrange the trip (again!) and send the kids to school while you sort passports for definite?!

I reckon they lost the grifted Italy trip because their engagement is absolutely shocking lately and the company realised it wouldn’t have been worth it

You can’t get a kid’s passport in one day, even if you drive to a passport office. You can only do that for an adult one
Why didnt mum fly ahead and fakey zoom home and sort out an emergency passport and fly day or 2 later with the kid? That way fred could still had his birthday holiday at least. Not sure if can get kids passports as fast, but can get adults in liverpool passport office. Yes it costs but i got one myself last year all done in same day, fast delivery within 3 days start to finish had my passport in hand.

Kids passports take 3-5 days not to dox myself but I totally forgot the baby needed one as they was attached to me at the time so stupidly bird brain here forgot a week and half before we was due to fly I was like tit the baby hasn’t got a passport so off so his majesty’s passport office we trudged sadly Charlie boy wasn’t there which was sort of a let down. However in my case I was a new scatty bird brain parent not a fake wanna be travel hunfluencer

I suspect Freddie is probably also quite confused as to why Fake has moved out and pops round occasionally to focus on the little kids and ignore him but now suddenly they are all rammed into a hotel suite together.
I didn’t think about passports when going on a ferry as my brain only relates passports to planes, not all foreign travel
