Her answer to using kale is literally the stupidest thing i've ever heard in my life. Blitzed raw kale sprinkled like a herb will just add a bitter taste to everything. Don't do it Squiggle!

also loved her little #shoplocal origin story speech earlier. All shop local aficionados know that butchers are open on a sunday

These smart price products aren’t disappearing for any nefarious reasons. Most likely demand is low, there’s not much space on the shelf, and Asda have rejigged their range to meet demand. It’s not a moral act, they are maximising their profits and sales by putting the products on shelf that people want to buy. It’s unfortunate if you were reliant on the smart price option and can’t afford the next product up in price, but on the other hand Asda cutting lots of tinned stuff that nobody ever buys might mean they’ve got room to put in a smart price version elsewhere of a product they didn’t have before.

Another factor she hasn’t considered is that Asda might have found all their poorer shoppers have walked out the door to Aldi and Lidl down the round, and have made a decision to not try and compete with them. There are food deserts in this country but rarely, and most people have multiple shops to find deals in to maximise their money. It’s weirdly limiting to only use Asda’s range to try and extrapolate the state of food pricing and affordability in this country -and not even that, the single Asda she chooses to visit.

Well, so much for the butchers and greengrocers this week. I'm sure they were awaiting their best customer. Wasn't that only today she mentioned it? I feel like all tweets are just blurring into one very long day now.
Still, 6 Patreons lost today is a little glimmer of hope!

Yep, also factories will have restricted their lines over the past 7 months so rather than making baked beans for asda, smart price, Tesco etc they’ll have cut back to a mid range - they’ve had to deal with staff absence, overtime through the panic buying phase etc.

Who is the poor sod having to take the photo (and that definitely wasn't the first and only shot), SB or Louisa?
