There is a reason that none of them directly mention
tattle, because they don’t want people to read here. If Jack was that confident we were lying and bullying she would mention tattle and let her minions come over here to sort us out and correct us. She won‘t nor will any other influencer written about here, the stock phrase is they don’t want to give us the attention. If I really believed a site was full of bullying witches I would tell my fans, I would say go and look at the utter hideous crap that they are writing about me......not one of them does this.
I hope that documentary is followed up by a phone in, I have questions to ask.
- Where is the Child protection? Child privacy? Child’s rights?
- Is the constant commercialism of motherhood appropriate? (Selling a load of crap constantly to mainly women, to sell them the idea of keeping up with their favourite influence is horrific.)
- Is the constant use of filters whilst selling body positivity appropriate?
- Where are the questions or discussions that disagree with any post?
- Why is it ok to turn thousands of fans on one follower who asks a question?
- Where is the protection of finances when influencers ask for donations of goods or money to causes? (Ptwm, fundraising, patreon etc)
- Where is the MlM element of Insta exposed?
- Why is it ok to constantly lie about products you use, experiences you have, emotions you feel...to present utter nonsense to people?
- Why did it take us to make them put #ad in their ads and still they don’t/won’t do?
- How has it become ok to rip out a kitchen, bathroom, sofa etc etc that is totally fine and functional to accept one that is newer, so it can be sold to followers? What is the environmental impact of this?
- Why is it ok to encourage people to stock pile cleaning chemicals?
- Why is it ok to tweet the most horrendous racist an ableist abuse but then bring in management to cover it up and not apologise? *Edited to add, Jack hasn’t done all these things, it’s a general selection of influencers behaviour!
Is this really the society that we want to create? A nation of people who get dopamine hits from likes for buying items they don’t need, with money they don’t have to impress people they don’t know.
I love Radio 4, I will phone in and I really hope they go deeper than the usual simplistic crap that we are all ugly trolls with unfulfilling Lives. I won’t be anonymous they can have my name...bring it bloody on Sally. I am ready and truly can’t wait!

@Brian Butterfield you’re spot on, it really is a thing of beauty. So well put together, clear and open. We need one just like that for JM and it needs linking to the initial main recap...I know JM has a wiki here but it’s just a list of her embarrassing moments. I’d offer to do it but I couldn’t make it that decent...I waffle too much!
So onto waffling, after reading SH Wiki it occurred to me, more than before, how JM is playing out in an identical manner to SH. Then it occurred to me that they are stable mates at the Guardian. What infuriates me most is that these two (along with others like mother Pukka) have the national press and magazines at their disposal to write/have articles written about them giving them praise for all their great work (
), promoting their (whatever they want to flog) and allowing them to tell their tale about their lives and the problems they have with us trolls. It makes me fcuking livid that there are all these one-sided articles out there holding these people up and trashing us. That’s not journalism, that’s opinion but not written as an opinion piece it’s written as the whole story! Where are the journalists asking for this side of the story? Investigating why this site even exists, delving and fact checking...where the
duck are they? How are these people being allowed to control the dialogue so exclusively?
I cancelled my subscription to the Guardian today (well the money I give them to keep afloat) because despite the fact it was a left wing Manchester born paper, I can not bear that my £ is paying for them to not only employ but promote these folk. They can
duck off, I’d rather give my money to Murdoch than these middle class London centric huns, at least I know he’s a
bleep and people can say it and not be threatened with legal action.
Someone said earlier that SH was doing a programme for R4 going round the country talking about trolls, this is another area where these folk get to sound off without scrutiny, the BBC, and I’m paying for that with my TV licence! Jesus, I’m paying them!
