For newcomers, so-called “Jenny, Peter and Barbara“ really did make it into the final edit.!

Just seen a post on Twitter where the journalist Nadine White (+70k followers) writes about the recent premier of a film she's made relating to Windrush. This is what she says:

"Blessed to have had such a loving English teacher in my life. I jumped for joy when Miss walked into The Ritzy, yuh see. What a woman, what a beautiful speech!"

Gracious. Classy. Generous.

Just saying.

I've been waiting a year to vent my rage.
I am a year shy of sixty so you could class me as a rage nan. I'll never be a nan (more of a weird great aunt).
am regretting my choice of username already...

Hello, yet another lurker etc.

I'm particularly fascinated by the whole patreon aspect of all of this. I don't know if this was discussed at the time - does anyone remember the company that apparently offered to help Jack fulfil all her outstanding patreon rewards for free a little while ago, which she apparently never responded to? This was one I couldn't get my head around. Imagine worrying about this for literal years, being offered a get out, and just completely ignoring it.

maybe my username is appropriate after all

Oh! Erm... meow, I guess?

😅

Hello fraus, ninnies and mavens. It's a pleasure and honour to be here. Thank you for all you do, I have been grunking along for quite a while. I think I found you in about November last year, and I can't remember why or what I was looking for. Was it on the back of something I had read about the Trussell Trust? I think it might have been.

Anyway, I had known about guest (that is so delicious to type after reading it forEVER) since about 2018-ish. I can't even remember why, but she must have come up on my radar when looking for cookbook gifts or something. I did buy two copies of "Cooking on a Bootstrap" (one as a gift) a few years back. That is as far as my money to her went, but still I am pissed off in hindsight that she got some of my money. (BTW: IMO the pic of her on the cover looks NOTHING like ANY of ANY other pics of her. Not phone filtered, tweaked, natural, professional, papped... it's like a completely different person altogether.) I had been following her on Twitter, but when I started reading here I unfollowed her, didn't want to be adding to any of her numbers.

I can't remember exactly when I started following her, but I was there during the poor unwell kitten period, and looking back, she knew what she was doing. People like *me* NEEDED to see updates about this poor creature, desperately wishing it to survive, thinking she was doing a wonderful thing trying to be a disabled cat's mummy. Got a feeling I muted her for a while as this was too distressing for me, and then when I started paying attention to her again, there was no mention of that kitty at all.

When Grifty Kitchen sailed onto yonder horizon, it sealed the deal for me. Thank you to all the Tattlers who screenshot etc to here.

My story of enlightenment sadly isn't that interesting, but I am enlightened all the same.

I couldn't join Tattle until now because the doors were always closed when I looked, until today/yesterday. My main frustration was that MANY times I wanted to *react* to a post after crying with laughter, you ninnies are so bleeping HILAR that I have inhaled food, choked on wine, and farted dangerously hard because of LAUGHING.

FINALLY... I just want to comment re her appearance on QT. Many of you said that she was angry with the guy next to her when he was talking about AI regulations, but that's not at all how I saw it (or see it, having just viewed it again). Watch again - he is talking and then suddenly gestures towards guest while he makes his point (approx 58:18), she looks like she had zoned out and didn't really want to be there now, she knows it's almost the end of the programme and thought she'd done her bit, but her focus has been drawn back and she can't look interested... she actually takes a deep breath/sigh, and her head is moving from side to side in a weird slow wobble that doesn't look like nerves. The eyes aren't switched on.

I don't know how to finish this ramble through the tulips, so I guess I should just say  THE END

There was a really good point made in another thread about how ageist the term “rage nan” is, and I fully agreed with all the points. Older peope are discriminated against in so many ways, from accessibility to how we speak about them, and it’s 💯 something we need to be more aware of.

That being said... If I’m lucky enough to reach old age, I would LOVE to be described as a rage nan, it sounds awesome.

And you made it even better with the pun!

Welcome @rage naan !

Hello, lovely canal.

I'm a heron who, like every egg laid in the history of eggs, has inexplicably been whisked away and ended up thinking 'What the very duck is going on?"

When I discovered, after an ephemeral amount of Very Distressing Poverty, I was able to finally join Tattle I Hooted. I Fizzed. I rubbed my unruly 53% vegan scrotum against a pop-up laundry bin because, as a genuine poor, I have no sideboards.

It's so good to be here, at last.

My hoop has never been so rinsed. It's like a rebirthing. Picture a tape worm emerging valiantly from a frothing mole. Hold that image.

That's me.

Now duck off. x
Are you me? I think you are me. Deffo my twin sister who had all the linguistic opportunities rather than the poor excuse for a 4 and a half GCSEs I was offered.

Welcome everybody! I love an origin story.

@heretoreaditall2019 skilz on the stats. I think some people may have signed up this this month for the bantz/ to do some CCJs. Or journalists signing up to back up the fact that she doesn’t send stuff out… (I have no evidence, but it’s what I would do if I was investigating)

The Black Eye was a sight to behold. That piece of Munchausens Adjacent rather than Proxy? Like in the catchment zone for M. But just a few doors down in fact, probably creating a whole new sub category of it that future research will be needed to explore it.

Having lurked and dreamed of the day I could join all my birthdays, christmases and whatever else have all come today, I nearly jumped out of bed when I saw I could join 🥳

long time lurker, never liked her from years back when she was famous all the sudden I’m an alcoholic but it only took me two weeks to be recovered! The beeping beaut 😤😤
lost a bit of interest in her couple of years ago (mainly due to war happening and having to escape)

love seeing the slopalongs, the forensics in her lies. And of course the support you give each other

it’s a shame you are all ebil trolls who can’t see the good she does gently behind the scenes 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 she’s a beeping walloper !

Hi guys,

Another long time lurker but first time poster. I was always barely aware of Jack as someone “who does so much good”. I donated to her tipjar and even purchased one of her books on Amazon to do a giveaway to help her out a bit after reading HH2.

Then Awfully Molly’s blog popped up on another site and led me here and I realised nothing this person says makes one bit of sense.

Now she INFURIATES me. Especially the faking every illness going. I’m currently struggling to work a v.busy job after 3 months in hospital and a long term condition diagnosis and she just sits on her bed/sofa all day tweeting and calling it work.

Even so, up until the Lee Anderson drama I was still a bit like “oh dear her mental health”. After how she acted when that all came to head now I’m like”you deserve all you get mate”.

And she does.
