It'll get to like, late August and she'll start wanging on about how her first draft of the memoir deadline is in two weeks. There'll be lots of send coffee-oes, tell me off if you see me on here-oes*, look how busy I am inexplicable wallpaper memo-oes and then... we'll prob never hear about it again.
*haha, remember she did this and then got pissed off with all the squigs telling her to get off twitter and do her work and started having a go at them
Hang on. This has been bothering me for bleddy ages.
You know when the guest-stans say that they've received abuse online for backing/defending her, how come there's no evidence of this?
Rather like there's no evidence of people abusing guest?
Although I’m new here, I’ve been grunking aplenty and would like to thank you guys for keeping me sane in what is a very trying week for me mentally and physically. It’s taken my mind off a lot of stuff, plus nothing like watching someone literally set fire to their own life to make you feel better about your own sorry one. So I guess I have to thank Guest begrudgingly as well for that - cheers Jack you wick!
So I asked ChatGPT to summarise Tattle's take on guest. It initially gave me some Kack is wonderful baloney and I said nope Tattle doesn't like Jack and it said 'oh would you like me to summarise Tattle's criticism of Jack?' Yes, yes I would:

Same here, my life has quickly descended into a mentally, physically and financially challenging state this year (some of it definitely self inflicted although I thought I was making the best decision at the time) and being here does take me out of myself for a little while

I asked it to write the first 300 word's of Jack's memoir. Quite impressed by the Jack embellishment of 'thick fog of financial hardship that enveloped my life'.
write the first 300 words of Jack Monroe's memoir
In the bustling chaos of the supermarket, my heart raced as I stared at the price tags on the shelves. How could I possibly afford to feed myself and my young son on this meager budget? It was a question that haunted me every day, pushing me to the edge of despair. I had hit rock bottom, and the only way out was through the thick fog of financial hardship that enveloped my life.
Growing up, I had never imagined that my dreams of a stable career and a comfortable life would be shattered so abruptly. But there I stood, a single parent with a stomach clenched in hunger and a wallet as empty as the shelves before me. The weight of my circumstances bore down on me, threatening to crush my spirit and bury me in a world of despair.
But within the depths of my despair, a flicker of determination ignited. I refused to be defeated by the circumstances that life had thrust upon me. In that supermarket aisle, I made a decision that would change the course of my life forever. I would find a way to put food on the table, to nourish my son and myself, no matter how little money I had.
And so began my journey into the world of creative cooking, budgeting, and resourcefulness. I scoured the aisles for the cheapest ingredients, the discounted goods, and the overlooked gems. I experimented in the kitchen, discovering new flavors and concoctions that would stretch my limited resources further than I had ever imagined.
Little did I know that this struggle, this battle against hunger and poverty, would shape me into the person I am today. It would give birth to a passion, a purpose that would drive me to share my story with the world. It would lead me to become Jack Monroe, the voice of those who struggle, the champion of the poor, and the advocate for change.
Why and where is she singing to old people? They've not long for this world, stop bothering them.
Obviously this is another to add to the 'things that didn't happen' list because she'd have been chanting that from the roof tops as evidence of her goodly work.
I should be asleep but I inadvertently had a four hour kip between 9pm and 1am this morning. Am currently wide awake and went looking online for Jack's grey puddle with petrol on the top soup. I couldn't find it but I did find this.
This simple and warming carrot, ginger and onion soup recipe from Jack Monroe's A Girl Called Jack cookbook is the perfect way to show someone you care without splashing out on expensive ingredients.

Initially it doesn't sound too bad (I wonder were she nicked it from). But a closer look reveals so many questions. She cooks carrots, onions and potatoes for "around about an hour" at 180 degrees C. I'd be checking them every 5 mins after 25 mins and wouldn't expect them to take longer than 40 mins. She puts fresh coriander and parsley into the marinade for veg that she roasts. They would burnt to duck and have no flavour in the oven. Dried thyme or her ubiquitous mixed herbs would be more appropriate here, save the fresh herbs for the garnish and far less than a "fistfull" of each would be needed. Half a freaking stock cube! WTF.
Also, essential kit, a food processor, no! A cheap hand blender is more than up to the task. Also the suggestions of replacing the carrots and potatoes with those out of a tin is laughable.
And breathe Marj!
ETA she really is a useless cook
Those of us who live relatively normal lives with jobs and responsibilities and children to look after know we wouldn’t firstly have time to write a blog twice a week and secondly fill it with anything of interest… because we’re out there working for a living, raising children and caring for loved ones. Day 1… went to work…. Day 2 school run was fun then went to work….
Jack lives in a fantasy world that is only afforded to those who just take take take.
