Have we seen this…?!
She actually says that the Patreon funds "the good stuff that makes a difference but doesn't pay the bills." If it were me raking in thousands and thousands of pounds a month, I would be posting regular patreon updates to that effect. She could be honest and say her gigs like Question Time don't pay very much and that's why she has the patreon. Although her outputs (blog posts, appearances etc.) are so few and far between she probably doesn't like to draw attention to the fact it is money for almost nothing.
I bet the first sleep on that was@Emmapism ..... I hear ya re mattresses. I was 47 when I finally owned a mattress upon which I was the first person to sleep. ( I feel I articulated that poorly...)
I sometimes, when I'm morose (now)) feel I'm cosplaying my own life because it's so very far removed from my own formative years experience and I don't feel I'm equipped with the skills to know how to live it.
Kind of the opposite of Jackie.
As far as I know Aileen Wuornos didn't have months of unfulfilled Patreon rewardsYeah those serial killers. Such bad behaviour.
The hospital photo thing really pummels my pumble. This annoys me for loads of reasons
1. She manages to do that ridiculous side on selfie view in her hospital bed. FFS
2. Straining her collar bones for sympathyos/body checking
3. Filthy fucking nails, how do you get filthy being in hospital
4. Posting a photo of her epipen, reminds me of the munchie by Internet crowd reddit's illness fakers sub post about
5. Straining her thumb back to emphasise she's hypermobile. It will hurt doing that. Especially if you have arthritis
6. Does she still wear that medical alert bracelet
7. She's supposed to put the affiliate disclaimer at the start of the blog
8. Her existence
I love a conspiracy but I think it’s quite simple: she makes enough money to make it worth their while to take their 20% cut. Just shows the extent to which it’s disgusting how often she’s claimed poverty/paying herself minimum wage/asked for cash for presenter training and website building. It’s SUCH a compelling mystery! I would love to know. It feels like something that would only be finally revealed in a sit-down interview as part of a Netflix documentary.
