I also reckon she's losing higher tier subscribers at a faster rate than lower tier ones, or people downgrading their subs, so I think the actual monthly income is probably going down faster than the raw subscriber numbers would belie
I don't like to speculate, but if I were forced to I'd suggest having access to too many technical gubbins caused her to accidentally delete the whole site in an act of incompetence. She clearly didn't keep any backups because whatever happened could not be easily remedied.
Lol she’s such a clown…the idea that a customer accidentally deleting their website (or whatever on earth she managed to do) would warrant ‘a dozen engineers and specialists’ to work on it for FOURTEEN HOURS STRAIGHT is hilarious. Either they can restore it from a backup (which they would have a standard process for and would not take fourteen hours of faffing), or they can’t and would tell her right away. If she was doing all the volunteering and stuff she claims to be doing, she'd at least have some structure to her day, but she does nothing. Doesn't post about the books she claims to read, doesn't go on walks, doesn't post about her recipe development. She reminds me of a former colleague who retired and was completely rudderless because he had nothing to get up for.

Also pre Nigella her average per sub would have been lower as she was positioning it as a sponsor a starving child offering for the £3.50 tier so imagine way more ppl were on that or £7 versus the Nigella acquired cohort. Like yes she still has >400 subscribers and is getting money for nothing but she’s not gonna be able to maintain herself in the way she’s come accustom to just with a dwindling Patreon now she’s getting no paid work. The next year will be v interesting.
Absolutely this! I'm 15 years older than her and have a bit of tech knowledge (not much mind) largely picked up from having actually worked for the last 30 years. She's barely worked and seemingly has zero idea of what it's like, hence the nonsense about 14 IT experts working 14 hours straight and interviews where you're asked to name facts about the cleaning staff

Exactly, it’s absolutely possible that she did play for the county but it means duck all lol, you don’t have to be good if you’re playing at under 14s county level. Also yeah, she definitely has some sort of hang up about her intelligence / academic achievements if she’s still bragging about playing chess as a child.
