I can only speak for me here, but it's something I've always done, subconsciously. I'm autistic, which explains part of it. But there's no logical reason. I don't always notice I'm doing it, but others do, I had an ex get angry at me for it. Thankfully I avoid most real life interactions these days so avoid it.

I imagine it's an evolutionary thing, but it just goes into overdrive in certain people or groups of people.

Who even wants to listen to a conversation with her? Apart from sad neckbeards I mean. FFS, is every arts event in on her grift? It's made me really mad/sad/all feelings are interchangeable.
It can only be Adrian's fault....

This is lovely for Jack though, because it means that once again, she does not have to stray beyond the bounds of George St/St Andrew's Square. It's within walking distance of the small, family-run restaurant called Dishoom.

I'm a total cow about the Fringe in general but Jack appearing makes me feel justified in being that way.
I loved the Fringe because I'm obsessed with stand up, but I was lucky because I lived in Leith and worked by Parliament I only had to face the herds if I actually wanted to. Considering Jack's reaction to Glastonbury I cannot see her coping with central Edinburgh during the Fringe. If I see pictures of her socialising with any comedians I like I'm actually going to flip out. I'm already on edge whenever a new episode of Off Menu comes out.

I’ve mentioned on here before Mr Lazarus is a snooker fan - I don’t mind it, so I sometimes watch too.
At the final tonight, when Brecel was giving his winner speech, he said to Mark Selby something like ‘I probably shouldn’t be saying this here, but stay strong Mark & Vikki, I know there’s been a lot said online’
I can’t find anything - does anyone know what’s up? Nitter’s gone and I can’t search for things on Twitter as i don’t have an account.
Mark's wife is ill - no more detail that I've seen on Twitter. She supported him through mental health issues the last few years. Mark had alluded to both of them being ill today and previously in tournament, comments such as health is the most important thing. The commentators said a few things that were off too (I thought) when nothing has been said officially. It is a fairly close knit community so I'm not surprised if everyone "inside" knew.

Ask Jack. I haven't had any. Just been using portrait mode.

No idea what you said in paragraph 2 there. But thank you for your engagement. 😂

I'd lend you some trousers but the elastics taken a hit so you'll need to knot the material let alone fold it over once.
Missed a word. Now added!!! Blame guest.

I do this too but I've always related it to intrusive thoughts/ADHD ear worms. I'm really nervous about repeating something that sounds culturally insensitive

Calling bull on this being guest's fault. She never misses an opportunity to type a few hundred more words than are needed to convey a simple message. Even if she doesn't know what they mean. Must be paid by the word. She'll throw anything in. Bit like that crap quiche.

Elasticated waistbands are amazing. There. I said it. And I'm not talking about that silly ribbing topped elastication. Proper thick, sturdy elastic for me, thank(space)you. See also, slip on shoes. And clothes with pockets.

Thanks. Maybe I could shrink them in a puddle? And they will magically come out as Viv (RIP RIP)!

I have taken a dislike to Linda because she looks like Steve Bruce and he's ex-rum *spit*

Lots of love, someone who supports a team that *really* dislikes M*n Utd.

In a very backward way I respect Adrian. He has done a tremendous job of getting bookings for an unreliable, unpredictable zeleb (I'm being generous with the "z") with no discernable talent other than grifting. And this is a man who previously had to work with Meghan the Duchess.

OK, Imma gonna backtrack. Blame The Graun for paying by the word or column inch, and misedumacating her into that wordy bollocksness. And then, blame guest for not enough pastry. OK?!

No the in her name. Megan, Duchess of Sussex, Squanderer of Opportunities, like our guest.

Maybe after years of representing people who more or less create their own demand and interest, he fancied being challenged. So in comes Jack. To provide him with a workload that isn't all tick, confirm, invoice. Now it's plead, hope, pray, redial, pray, negotiate, pray, hope, redial, invoice before recipient googles your client's name.

I've droned on previously about how I work right in the middle of where all the Fringe stuff happens.

I'm sure Jack will schmooze around town doing her "look at me!/don't look at me!" thing.

Something to look forward to
