I used to call it my "running away" feelings. It did me a power of good and I returned ready to face real life again. Unfortunately I can't afford the overseas places anymore, but have friends in various places in the UK. I go stay with them and my condition is never mentioned, we just have a good laugh together. I do have some very close friends that I can call on if I get really down with things, but I prefer to just escape those feelings if I can. If not I go sulk for a day or so, with by bottom lip quivering, feeling sorry for myself and get it out of my system.@MancBee I can completely relate to the feeling of wanting to escape and just go and be "normal" somewhere for a bit, away from all your troubles. I did that last year, just for couple of days. That's all i could afford as I'm not skint like R Jackie (think that was me btw).
